Completely non-functional after install

  • I am using Steam and it shows a VR version in my steam games, when I launch the non-VR AeroFly 2 both of them say they are running. I have a VR capable video card but do not have a VR headset.

I'm not sure if there is a easy way to gather system configuration in Windows 10
I am running an AMD FX-6300 3.5 GHz CPU
MSI RX480 video card with 4GB ram gaming card
just updated video drivers last night.
    8GB RAM
    2x 1TB hard drives..

not sure what else is needed to get some assistance.

  • Looks like either Aerofly 2 or your video drivers are corrupt. Try downloading and reinstalling again. In the case of Aerofly, I'd check the integrity of the files using Steam first before re-downloading the whole thing again.

I've already updated the video card drivers as I was getting the error, I went and found a newer driver.

How can I check the integrity of the files using Steam? I really don't want to re-download that monstrosity! :p

  • In your Steam Library, right click on the game and select 'Properties', then select the 'Local Files' tab and choose the option 'Verify Integrity of Game Cache...'

This is a lot quicker than re-downloading the whole thing again. Googling the .dll file that's giving you the issue, it would seem that you're not the only one experiencing this issue and it's not specifically related to Aerofly FS 2 either...

Try the suggestions in some of those results, like this one:

Thanks for your assistance, I just submitted a refund from Steam. I did find the link to check the integrity of the cache. Currently this is the only game that has this issue for me.
    Thanks again for your help.
