Has anyone had any luck with running RC in the Rift? I know there is no native support for it. I have tried using VorpX and can get it to display, but tracking is way out of wack, and it just does not feel right.
Just wondering if anyone has tried.

I'm interested in this as well.
At the moment camera tracking is based on plane position.
Is there a mode where the camera position is not locked on plane and controlled by mouse or keyboard?

If you click into the screen the camera focus is fixed. Maybe you can still use the head tracking there, I am not sure.
I've been looking at this sim for a while, and it is currently on sale on the steam store. Something that would make it stand head and shoulders above the competition would be VR support. So, question is, seeing as VR support on FS2 is as good as anything on the market, would there be any prospect of RC7 getting VR support in the future?
VR as in you strap on the Rift and you are standing at the field with your tx in hand? Yeah. That would be nice!
Exactly that, I think it would work great in VR if it was technically possible.
John, we intend to come out with a completely new version to allow VR in our R/C simulators. The current version, especially the menu and in game GUI elements are not suitable.
Ah, that's great news. Given the standard set by FS2, I think IPACS will do a great job of VR implementation. I shall keep my eyes open for developments

What is your estimate for when VR will be available?
Sorry, to early yet to say anything, but Aerofly RC in VR will likely be based on our more modern platform of Aerofly FS 2.
That makes a lot of sense actually, I wonder if there would be scope to use the scenery packages such as those starting to appear from OrbX, they do stand up to pretty close scrutiny.
