It does work,
thank you so much Rodeo.
The only issue for me is now understanding the layers when repainting. I know how to work with layers in Photoshop however logic of existing hierarchy is not clear at all.
Could somebody explain this a little bit please?
Thanks guys
Yes,
I think this is really necessary. Therefore I started with the layer tutorial a few days ago.
But please give me some more days to finish it.
Regards
Rodeo
The layer description is still in progress, meanwhile the repainting went on...
This is the repaint download...
This is the repaint download...
That looks great in the sim, thank you!
In the past IPACS have said they don't like embedded downloads here. Mainly because they will be hard to find later. I asked if we could get a download section... Another solution could be if I host this and all upcoming repaints on my personal webpage, if you want to.
Regards,
Jan

Yes Jan, I totally agree with your idea to add it to your aerofly webpage. Thanks for the offer.
The repaint may change once more while I use it for the painting workshop. So please wait just a few more days before upload.

Rodeo
Hi Rodeo, sure, I'll wait a bit And it looks like we will get a download section in this forum soon, too.
Great ! Looking forward to both the tutorial and the download section.
Cheers
Antoine
Dear colleagues,
this is the missed tutorial. Hope it helps.

Dear repainters,
please note this:
The SDK package contains a separate callsign template, in the moment only for the B747 and the KingAir.
If you do a repaint of these models, you can modify the cockpit callsign to match your fuselage registration number!
Save and process it exactly the same way as the other files.

Very nice tutorial, Rodeo!
So we can produce Bitmaps to make the TTX's from instead of everything coming through the PSD master file. This is good as I tend to keep things like fonts layered separately and also have backups layers in case I make a mistake changing something.
I seem to have a problem getting my prototype yellow paint scheme to show up in AF2. I note that my model.tmc and repaint.tmc are jumbled up in Windows Notepad. Not in a proper stack order for some reason. I wonder if that might be causing my repaint not to show up. Example attached.
EDIT: I did put in the name of the repaint in the [ Blank ] sections as specified, all to correct changes. But the repaint doesnt show. There is a blank plane that appears, with no name, no color changes, and the TTX files appear in the 'airplanes' folder in My Documents, but the plane just doesnt show.
Rodeo,
I downloaded and installed your texture pack and its shows up fine. I opened up your repaint.tmr and found my spelling error.
I then copy/pasted your repaint.tmr into mine (I had an extra [ bracket), and the package again didnt show up, but this time it did show its 'name' for the repaint, but shows the stock Cessna paint scheme instead of my own yellow paint scheme, as though the bitmap textures arent showing up.
When I save the Bitmaps in Photoshop CS6, I am saving as 24bit. I wonder if I am missing something?
Lionheart,
it' good to see you here. Let's analyze the process:
The blank layer in the PSD contains your base color? If not, try to rename this layer (unclear situation for me).
Your BMP is named yourfile_color.bmp?
When you open the BMP it shows the correct livery?
The convert process runs without an error until it displays done?
Does the log file show any error?
Does it create the correct subdirectory?
Does this directory contain the _color.ttx?
One thing about these text files is that you might want to use Notepad++ vs notepad.

Your BMP is named yourfile_color.bmp? Yes

Does the log file show any error? Negative

Answers above.
Do I need duplicate changes to PSD 'and' BMP? Or just BMP?
Roger that. Thanks, WhitAv8.

Unusual, but should be possible.
You don't need to duplicate changes to PSD, because the BMP is the final file used for conversion.
Could you send me a download link of your BMP? I would like to test it in my environment and then send you the correct setup.
Rodeo
Here they are. Please see attached.
Ok,
it worked for me. I have sent you the setup files. Hopefully you get this sorted out.
