ETA to add airports in Colorado

  • Hi.

Just wondering when we might see airports and landmarks in Colorado? If its not in the immediate future let me provide some reasons why it should be expedited:

Most Dangerous Airports in Continental US:

    - #1 Aspen/Pitkin County Colorado
    - #9 Telluride Colorado
    - Eagle/Vail Colorado (honorable mention)

    Highest Airport in continental US:

    - Lake County Colorado (Leadville) at 9,934 MSL

    Busiest Commercial Airport in USA:

    - Denver International (DIA) is ranked 5th for passenger volume (higher than JFK, SFO, LaGuardia, and Miami)

Largest Airport in the USA (2nd largest in the world)

    - Denver International (DIA) covers 85 square miles of land. This is twice the size of Manhattan!

Busiest General Aviation Airport in USA:

    - #3 Centennial Airport (KAPA) Colorado

    Notable landmarks:

    DIA terminal
    US Air Force Academy
    Pikes Peak
Royal Gorge Bridge (Currently the highest bridge in the United States and was among the ten highest bridges in the world until 2012)
50+ mountain peaks 14,000' or higher

Utah is great but Colorado is a pilots dream.

  • Colorado is indeed a nice area that would look great in FS2, especially in VR, but I wouldn't expect this any time soon as it's not on the release plan. You may be able to make yourself a nice area to fly around yourself using the upcoming easy to use GeoConvert tool though.

By the way, welcome aboard our forum :)
