Need a short diversion while waiting for the next update or release?

  • You can participate in a One-Hour Scenic Tour of South Switzerland over at our Aerofly Central website. This is a short sightseeing tour of most of the DLC airports in the South and Southwest as seen from FL240 in the Learjet 45. Oh, did I mention that you will be flying and you have to build your own flight plan. 375 nm originating at Samedan and terminating at Buochs with lots of twists and turns along the way. One of the most unique approaches in the DLC.

The instructions and screenshots are online and you can download a pdf should you want a hard copy. Thanks to Raymond for all the screenshots and the beta test flight.

  • Looks great, a good occupation for tonight. Thank's for sharing this flight plan and for the beautiful screenshots.

Thanks. Hope you enjoy the flight. Come back and leave your comments after landing at Buochs.

  • Great, Ray! Nice plan!

I've done a flight like this one a bit earlier, but I started at Zürich. The idea was to revisit all the airports from Zürich to Geneva I did not visit since Aerofly FS1. I used the Baron. I was pleasantly surprised to see some of the airports had a very nicely populated areas.

  • Ok, just made it and was great :) First real fly with the Learjet 45 for me, flight only with DR 400 or cessna 172. So i read the wiki before the flight and let's go. Everything ok during the flight except i don't understand some things in the cockpit 8o Thanks to your detailed path map the approach seems ok (i love Buochs airport, come here a lot of times with the DR 400) and...

Please, no comment for the landing :P so hard to put him down on the runway, very very too late, a little bit difficult plane actually for me but great moment

  • Excellent. That is what the Flight Sim designed to do. Go flying, At least you RTM. ha. I have a very detailed Learjet 45 Flight Tutorial specifically for AF2 in final formatting. Come back in a couple of weeks and you can learn to fly it like it was designed. :)

Nice pics. Yes, Buochs has a very unique approach. Try the alternate approach over the lake rather than over the mountain.

If you fly the approach again and you are coming in too high or too fast or both just fly a missed approach. Don't try to land, just fly the runway heading and climb back to about 10,000 feet and follow the valley to the left. You can fly back to Interlaken and fly a new approach. Don't forget to bring the landing gear up and the flaps up gradually as you gain speed.

    Regards.
