Kingman airport worth it?

  • No you don't - the TGI file that is generated by AC3D or 3DStudio is provided. Just run the Content Converter

The Kingman airport is in Northwest Arizona and demonstrates the elements of modeling.

I purchased AC3D for $89 and have found that I can do airports with static aircraft and buildings fairly easily - I use a small area of aerial imagery underneath for placement of objects. I use Model Converter X from fsdeveloper.com to get aircraft and building models from the freeware FSX world in BGL or MDL format and convert them to AC format. Also, AC3D can input OBJ models from the freeware XPlane world. I use freeware GIMP to modify textures and output them to TIF or 24 bit BMP.
