With that kind of lighting and no shadows, it looks like it's a giant Cessna!

Where am I?

So its not just me in the simulator, who does this
Hi all:
No need to further investigation. This is Miami, FL, USA, downtown and Crandon Park Tennis Center in Key Biscayne (where yesterday they played the Miami Open Tennis ATP 1000 for the last time, in that location ). Enjoy!.
Cheers, Ed

Hello Ed,
Well done. Additional models plus cultivation is the next step.

Additional models plus cultivation is the next step
Thanks, Tom.
Cultivation is there, you could see woodland at Key Biscayne (half woodland and half residencial areas, more or less) and more sparsely in Miami itself. There're also cultivation buildings all over "continental" Miami, but they're these square and short generic objects out of OSM, although they look a lot better in the vecinity of KTMB (I'll post later in the week some more pictures of the airport, with 3D objects added to it, and its surroundings) and in other localised areas of the city.
Would like to have more additional buildings, but these are all I could find on the web. If you know where to find more, please let me know.
Cheers, Ed
Outstanding.

Thanks!
Bringing many of our features together with a quick one-day project.
About noon yesterday I decided to build a few airports in the South of France using the recently released FSCloudPort. This only takes a matter of minutes, but then I needed to improve the pixel soup scenery. Remember, this is a totally foreign area when considering DLCs. I lived in the Toulon area, actually Sanary-sur-mer way back in my younger days. My young son attended a boarding school near Cannes so we picked him up by car or train on Friday afternoons and had him back in bed Sunday evenings. By trying to select a different route whenever possible we were able to see a lot of back roads in the Cote d'Azur.
There are 3 GA airports within 25 miles of my old home base so I added those airports plus a few more. I settled on a 25 nm x 20 nm block of scenery to improve to 1m/pixel using FSET, at a resolution of 9 - 14. This takes a couple of hours to download and process. I used this processing time to read up on the airports and surrounding communities. Cuges-les-pins and Paul Ricard's Race Track/airport at le Castellet makes some great reading. Isn't Google great.
I also used the time to create the 'cultivation' for this area. This might be the most bang for the buck of all our features. But, they are all easy enough, just a lot steps to keep in order.
Not that this is the greatest of scenery, but it is certainly a nice improvement over the default nothing and It provides a new and exciting playground for me to fly. Not to mention that it is far superior to anything that I could have done using my previous flight sim, which was near nothing actually.
I was never good at capturing those eye catching screenshots but, these will show what it looks like on my medium level system. The point is that any user can use these free and provided tools to create a personal flying area in less than one day. So, go have some fun.

Ray
Complementing a bit the previous screenies from Miami, FL, USA, here there's the Tamiami airport KTMB with some added 3D objects (some cars, lots of tarmac lights and street lights if you look carefully, and a water tank ouside the airport, using AC3D).
Buildings cultivation with OSM doesn't look bad in this area (for residencial areas).
The original KTMB comes out originally from FSCloudPort, by Phil.
Enjoy!.
Cheers, Ed
Looks great, is your KTMB available for downloading? How is the Miami skyline coming along?
Regards,
Ray
Keep in mind that we are working on the Florida Keys DLC which will include Miami.
