OK, now i'll use the famous two words "very odd"
Do you have some type of folder security on the new folder that would prevent Aerofly from seeing it?
I'm going to have to think about this one...

Not intentionally. I will check all those type things again.

Can you also send me a screenshot of your main.mcf as well. I just want to double check it.
OK. I am running the 'Verify Aerofly FS2 integrity check of game files' now. Occasionally, one gets a wild hair.
Ray
remove the txt on the end of the main.mcf file attatched
I had 11 corrupt files which were restored but, that was not the problem.

Ray
I just confirmed that this is indeed working.
Ray, did you happen to manually enter the field into the main.mcf file? The last update should have entered the field automatically.
When you create a folder on a different drive, name it one word (example: test), inside the folder add a sub folder: scenery. Inside the scenery folder add folders: places and images.
Also, make sure that you don't have duplicates in the documents folder and your newly created folder.
Confirm all of this and respond back to let us know if you got anywhere
Hi Jeff,
I am having the same issue, it doesn't work.

<[string8][extra_user_folder][E:\sim_scenery\scenery\images]>
it should be <[string8][extra_user_folder][E:\sim_scenery]>
for you
it should be <[string8][extra_user_folder][E:\sim_scenery]>
for you
Thanks Jan, I just read Rodeo's explanation and it's now working

And I just read your other post that it is working. That is very good to hear!
OK Gang, on to bigger and better things. I now have some partial success. I have a working 2nd drive for additional storage space for Aerofly FS2. It is not ideal, but it works. I have a 1 GB USB3 drive that is faster than the typical internal drive but much slower than a solid state drive. This USB3 drive worked on the first try. duh.
I am still unable for some reason to use one of my 500 MB SSD drives but I now have 1 GB that is reasonably fast and portable.
Thanks Jeff, thanks Jan, thanks Rodeo, and thanks Mick for hanging in there and troubleshooting the problem.
My working string8 is [K:\myscenerytest] with the full path K:\myscenerytest\scenery\images\user files. Of course, as everyone has repeatedly stated the initial folder can be anything except 'scenery' to avoid confusion and must have a subfolder named scenery and a sub named images.

Ray
