We hope to release aerofly RC 8 within the next 1-2 weeks if Apple approves it, but this is usually not in our hands.

This is already fixed in the latest update. What you mention here is related to another bug, which is fixed internally and which we will release next week.

Once Pimax get's their SDK done in a cleaner way and fo we might consider their approach of rendering to VR. As of right now they are only targetting Unity or Unreal which Aerofly FS doesn't use. We have our own rendering engine.
But the 35% performance improvement you mention here, does not hold for Aerofly FS. Using a fast NVIDIA type card we are not pixel shader limited so we won't see that much of a performance benefit.
And to clarify it, Aerofly FS is fully compatible with Pimax, but we have not invested into any special VR optimizations for these VR glasses.

We are currently in Beta testing, if we don't encounter any major issues, we will release aerofly RC 8 as soon as possible.

Yes, this is planned for a future update if we can get the user interface to work properly on iPhone devices.

Alex, thank you for posting.
Regarding Aerofly 2: We tried numerous times to reproduce the issue with the flashing lights, but we can't reproduce it on any of our devices so far. When using iOS 12 on iPhone 6, 6S up to iPhone XS all lights look fine, so it's difficult to fix something we can't reproduce.

What problem exactly? Please be as specific as possible and post your tm.log here.

It seems like the updater didn't update all files on your computer for some reason? Could you do a fresh install of Aerofly RC 8 and then install the latest update right away? No settings will be removed.

CONTROL + SHIFT + '2'
schaltet diese Anzeigen beim RC 8 aus.

Collision with trees in 4D sceneries is not yet implemented, we might add this in the future.

In English: This update has beta status. It fixes the issue that airplane roll like on Asphalt even if they are actually on gras. This issue has been addressed in this update. Keep in mind, it is still BETA!

Danke für den Hinweis. Wir haben das nun korrigiert. Hier gibt es ein Update zum selber testen:
Eine Rückmeldung wäre nett.

The 'rescale' feature of Aerofly RC 7 and RC 8 is extremely complex as it modifies our underlying physics parameters. Some parameters ( if adjusted in the wrong way ) will cause the model to crash instantly. So as a general rule, making a model smaller will 'mostly' work to a certain degree, but some models just don't like to be rescaled due to the critical parameters.

If user created airplanes fail to load and you are in the Beta channel, Aerofly FS reverts back to the C172. Please observe the tm.log file for errors and warnings while loading the model.
In case of the F104, it was caused by two lines setting properties that don't exist. You need to comment out or delete the lines in the object

The RF interlink protocol is unknown to us so we use the controller as a plain USB Joystick. There isn't much we can do here, sorry. If Realflight opens up their protocol, that would be great, but we doubt this will ever happen.

We decided against supporting 'older' iPad devices for a few reasons.
The main issue is, that the new mobile version is basically the same code basis as we use for our desktop version and we just need more memory for various things. Most of it is used in airplanes as you can now operate almost every switch. This is something we want to activate for Aerofly FS 2019 in one of the next update, but it also means more memory.
Besides that, the clouds, the new ground textures and the higher detailed airplane textures also add up.
Maintaining a special older iPhone and iPad version would be possible but would mean just too much work on our side and besides that, Aerofly FS 2019 for iPad Air 2 would just look and feel different than it would on a iPad Pro, so you wouldn't have gained any benefit over our older Aerofly FS 2.

To everybody trying the new Vulkan mode -> Don't do it, it's just not ready for production use yet. Of course, if you feel bored, go ahead and give it a try

Like drhotwing said, we do extensive testing before publishing our stuff.
Before we look into this in detail, we need to make sure no user created cultivation or sceneries are interfering here. Unfortunately some user sceneries don't have proper settings so each time a cultivation is loaded we might get a performance hit.
Also keep in mind the actual loading of the cultivation is not the issue, the main cause of stuttering happens when the actual textures and 3d models that have been loaded are uploaded to the GPU. If you like, you can do a test flight and send us the complete tm.log file for further evaluation.
