Any Apple compatible bluetooth controller will work, for example the Steel Series Nimbus controller:

RC8 is explicitly designed for Windows 10 and should also run slightly better on Windows 10 due to the enhancements Microsoft has added to it. Again, we are trying to find a cause for the problem why Windows is running Aerofly in compatibility mode. It runs just fine on most customers machines, so please be patient a little more until we have found a fix for this.

Hellp Petr,
we have full HTC Vive support and in 4D sceneries you can also 'walk' around a little to adjust your position for better flying. Use the cursor keys for this. In photo sceneries this is not possible!
As for user sceneries: We are working on conversion tools so RC 7 sceneries and airplanes can be used in Aerofly RC 8.

Sorry, but for the Pimax there is no other solution to use VR, its not a limitation of Aerofly FS, as we cannot directly 'talk' to the Pimax, it always has to be done through SteamVR.
As for the actual impression while using VR: Please try one of our 4D sceneries, the depth perception is much better there.

Es wurden keine Szenerien oder Modelle vom RC 7 Ultimate entfernt. Eurometting war wohl eine Userszenerie, insofern bitte noch etwas Geduld, bis wir eine Möglichkeit gefunden haben, diese zu konvertieren.

TomC RLG: We first need to find out how to disable to compatibility mode in your case. Can you please try the following methods to disable the mode for aerofly RC 8:

You might want to check option three here. Somewhere in your Windows 10 settings is the option that aerofly RC 8 is supposed to run in Windows 8 mode. No idea why this is the case on your computer but please try some of the methods mentioned there.

Can you please check if aerofly RC 8 is running in Windows 8 compatibility mode? You can look for this information in the tm.log file.

A small update here: We have internally fixed the issue with the missing objects on some airplanes. An update should be available by the end of this week.
-
@TomC RLG: We have fixed it internally now, that if you have 'Render native view on screen' set, you can see the VR view in the glasses and the normal view on the screen. But you have to explicitly activate this option. We turned it off by default as it has a huge impact on performance in 4D sceneries.
As for your other issue, please post the thread or describe in detail what's wrong.

Ok, we will have a look at it. Aerofly FS 2019 uses a new texture compression, so we have to check if something goes wrong during conversion. The bad shadow for the F18 has already been fixed internally.
-
@TomC RLG: Ok, lets investigate it. So you only see this issue in VR.
-
Please double check here: Is your Font scaling in Windows 10 settings something else than 100%? If yes, also check the contents of the 'tm.log' file if Aerofly RC 8 is running in windows compatibility mode. If that is the case, fullscreen modes don't work properly as Aerofly RC 8 gets wrong information from Windows 10.
We are still investigating why Windows 10 is running Aerofly RC 8 in compatibility mode. For now, you can fix this by right clicking on the aerofly_rc_8.exe and then choose 'Properties'. Then choose 'Compatibility' and make sure Compatibility mode is disabled.

As stated in another posting, user models from RC7 are currently not working. We are working on conversion tools.

Yes, we can confirm the unit switch causes a crash. We have fixed it internally already and will publish an update soon.
-
@skpegas: Do you have your Documents folder linked to any cloud account or did you move your Documents folder at all? If possible send us the tm.log file which can be found in the Windows Documents folder. If that doesn't exist it's likely an issue with a moved Documents folder.

Wie bereits erwaehnt bitten wir bei den Userszenerien und Modellen noch um Geduld, wir versuchen hierfuer Tools zur Konvertierung bereitzustellen.
-
bartokwhite We have plans to release aerofly RC 8 for Mac OS as well. We would like to wait a little for user feedback first before doing this step.
-
@JuergenN: Bitte noch Geduld, die alten RC 7 Modelle sind nicht kompatibel, wir versuchen Konvertierungstools anzubieten.
-
In 4D sceneries you have of course a good depth perception as each eye gets its own and correct view. It's much easier especially for helicopter flying or 3D aerobatics as you can judge a lot better where you model is relative to the airfield.

GrandToledo: Unfortunately Mac App Store issues are out of our control. The following way has fixed the issue for some customers with a similar issue:
- Delete the app from your Mac via the Launchpad app. (In our experience, deleting is more effective than merely dragging it to the Trash or by other methods.) Within the Launchpad, click and hold on the app icon, then click the black “X” icon that appears.
- Log out of the Mac App Store (from the menu bar, choose Store > Sign Out).
- Reboot your Mac.
- Log back in to the App Store (Store > Sign In), then switch to the Purchases tab and click the Install button next to the app name to reinstall.
