I think once you are in heading mode your left and right aileron trim does the heading changes. Should still work

The F15 autopilot implementation can hold heading or bank and pitch or altitude (baro or radar).
Push the line select key next to the UFC text "STR MODE", this should engage the autopilot and select heading mode.
Push the LSK next to ALT HOLD to engage altitude hold. You can switch from RDR (radar altitude hold) to BARO (altimeter)
And I think these toggle, that means if you push it again you get back to bank or pitch hold.
When you are in pitch or bank hold you can use the trim to change the attitude (steer with trim hat switch).
ILS or route following is not implemented yet in our version of this fighter autopilot.
Regarding speed: just enable the flight info bar at the top (default key "i"), that shows the flap speed range in white, normal airspeed range in green.
Max speed was 800kts I think and Mach 2.0, min airspeed is around 120kts

That is actually a good idea. Have never thought about assigning my mouse buttons to something.
I just tried it and assigned my mouse X buttons successfully in aerofly and I can confirm that they work for switching camera views for example.

That would be the overlay, you can reenable it in your settings.

Hey cool, which airport is that? Nice curved runway... HA!

The red message indicates that the autopilot disengaged without pilot intention.
We had a similar thread just a few days ago, where I listed all the reasons.
Do you have your controls neutralized? Make sure they are calibrated correctly.
If you deflect your controls the AP disengages. When you engage the autopilot neutralize your controls quickly (less than 1 second time to do so)

We have had many threads like this in the past and they usually ended in debate among users. To avoid this happening again we just close these kind of threads. Nothing personal.
Regarding the R22... well I flew it today, for the first time in a couple of months and it felt incredible realisitc, fluid and I immediately was able to hover and fly around and it felt like a real helicopter. With all the weird quirks of the real machine like more pedal as you throttle up, more cyclic to counter the side thrust of the tail rotor, transitional lift, ground effect and all the lovely things. It looks and feels exactly like in the real R22 videos I've seen. I'm not a real R22 pilot though but I have plenty of hours in helicopters in "other simulators". So yeah, a lot of people are going to have great fun with the helicopter! There is not ETA on the R22 but we mentioned that we want to get it out this fall/autumn. That means in less than a month I guess.

Hm, it seems to have issues when loading the aircraft. But I also see a few entries regarding vulkan.
Can you please delete or move the file C:/Users/Delfin/Documents/Aerofly FS 2/main.mcf so that aerofly starts with a fresh new config file? This won't delete your joystick settings but all graphics options will be back to normal.
And if that doesn't help please check that you have the latest graphics card drivers installed.

And do you feel a vibration or just the occasional glitch?
Could you maybe find an outside view and see if the "jolt" coincides with a sudden movement of a part like the elevator or landing gear? If you see a part moving just as you feel the jolt then it is an instability in the joints and we should be able to fix that.

Please attach your tm.log file (https://www.aerofly.com/dokuwiki/doku.…can_i_find_this)
and give us more information about your system, connected devices, gpu driver version, etc.
-
Thanks.
When did you download and install the SDK and content converter, are you running the latest version of the converter?
-
What does the generated tm.log file tell you?
-
Do you feel this jolt only during initialization?
If so you should maybe consider ignoring the first second or two.
-
Use the tsc files provided in the aircraft or scenery sdk and modify it to your needs before starting the converter.
-
Yes you need to give the exe a launch parameter. You can either create a batch file, or a shortcut with the target changed or you open cmd and type in sth. like content_converter.exe name_of_your_tsc_file.tsc
-
You will need to convert your sound files first, just putting the wav files into the aerofly directory is not going to work like that.
-
You can't. They are in a protected file format that can only be generated by the aerofly content converter and re-opened with the aerofly executable.
In order to change the sound you can create new sound files and then either replace the original files or change the sound mappings in the tmd files. But if you do that make sure to backup your work regularly as Steam might just wipe all your changes and reinstall the default sounds when the simulator is updated.

We have a long tutorial on the q400: https://www.aerofly.com/dokuwiki/doku.…raft:dash8-q400
The go around button in the Q400 are on the power levers. When you press them you engage the GA vertical mode and the wings level lateral mode. And autopilot disengages if it was on. You can then advance the power to full rating and manually climb away. The Q400 does not have autothrottles.
In the 747 for example the go around button set the flight director vertical mode to TOGA (takeoff goaround) and when autothrottles are set to armed or already on they go into full thrust mode. Autopilot remains engaged. But not in the Q400...
