So its not just me in the simulator, who does this

The default Cessna is also cold and dark, that's why I renamed the mod several months ago. Its no longer a cold and dark mod.
We have the cold and dark startup and quick turn around on our long todo-list, don't you worry

Do you have your own wav files in the same bit rate as the ones provided in the tutorial aircraft? (mono, not stereo!)
-
You need to convert the wav files together with an aircraft. If you have the DR400 example aircraft from our tutorial you can just paste your own files in that folder, then convert the Dr400 and use the converted sound files from the dr400 folder. Currently you can't convert just sounds on their own, as far as I know.

That only makes sense if you park right in front of it, literally feet away. Otherwise, I would just use a texture for that.

If you don't assign a steering tiller and just rudder Aerofly will automatically fill in that missing control and generate a tiller command from your rudder input.

Yes, we know about this. It helps if you break and get the nose gear pressed onto the ground... When you have some momentum and can get it into the turn its a bit easier to turn. Asymmetric thrust and braking helps. For example you could pull the number 1 or number 4 engine thrust lever a bit forward to turn right or left respectively.

I takes some time to program each display and function, so I would say the time needed to programm these grows linearly. Each layer or page we add increases the work load for me. And I would like to keep it down as much as I can, that's why I think the Garmin GDU 370 or the Garmin 696 which look pretty much the same to me. The latter device seems to be more capable, so I'm going for that. And we have the G696 in the extra, so I could program it for the Extra, which I wanted to do for a long time anyway, and then fit it into the carbon cub as well. So that would be a nice time saver.
So from my point of view the currently best option would be:
World VFR panel with the G696 in the center, regular large diameter airspeed, altimeter, vertical speed and turn indicator, no autopilot, small diameter COM and transponder, and the CGR-30P engine monitor. That would be enough work I think and the panel would look quite good I assume. We could also add some form of LED strip as an angle of attack indicator or something like that.

on the subject of throttles, is there a clickable button for TOGA within the cockpit, or is it a keyboard function? I can’t seem to find it.
There is a keyboard assignment for it, yes, and a clickspot will follow.
-
We are look into this, thank you for reporting it.
-
I never managed to take a screenshot when it was happening but I believe it was "MAN TOGA", however, I restarted the game a few times and repeated the exact same steps (Made sure as I wrote them down) and it started work, pretty weird. Can we expect to see any guides for the 747 autopilot any time soon too?
Not see if I need to create a separate thread for feature requests, but would it be possible we can get a keybinding for approach guides? It would be great so beginners can quickly toggle it on and off without having to go into the settings then pressing start again.
Thanks
Currently there isn't that much the 747 can do and I already explained the autopilot, the rest isn't that much different from the A320. So at the moment we wouldn't have enough to write but later on, yes a full tutorial is planned.
That is a good suggestion, I will write it down.

hah, I found an image of the panel with the small garmin panel that you find in the extra as well (portrait orientation):

as far as I know its enough to hit "t" once to change the time and refresh the reflection, that will usually remove the runway reflection

Hello, my question would by why don't you want to use one of the three existing IPACS servers?

I myself leave bleed 1 and 2 on and set the knob to MIN for take off and landing but I can live with your choice which is done in real life too. I think it's a company policy (or does it depend on the airport and SID, I am not sure).
of course, this depends on the available runway length for example. I think its pretty safe to leave the bleeds on for an approach into LAX.
