Lionheart,
it' good to see you here. Let's analyze the process:
The blank layer in the PSD contains your base color? If not, try to rename this layer (unclear situation for me). I didnt touch the base layer. I pulled a Bitmap off of the PSD and colorized it, leaving the PSD intact, untouched
Your BMP is named yourfile_color.bmp? Yes
When you open the BMP it shows the correct livery? Yes
The convert process runs without an error until it displays done? Runs fine, no error
Does the log file show any error? Negative
Does it create the correct subdirectory? Yes
Does this directory contain the _color.ttx? YesAnswers above.
Do I need duplicate changes to PSD 'and' BMP? Or just BMP? -
Rodeo,
I downloaded and installed your texture pack and its shows up fine. I opened up your repaint.tmr and found my spelling error.
I then copy/pasted your repaint.tmr into mine (I had an extra [ bracket), and the package again didnt show up, but this time it did show its 'name' for the repaint, but shows the stock Cessna paint scheme instead of my own yellow paint scheme, as though the bitmap textures arent showing up.
When I save the Bitmaps in Photoshop CS6, I am saving as 24bit. I wonder if I am missing something?

Very nice tutorial, Rodeo!
So we can produce Bitmaps to make the TTX's from instead of everything coming through the PSD master file. This is good as I tend to keep things like fonts layered separately and also have backups layers in case I make a mistake changing something.
I seem to have a problem getting my prototype yellow paint scheme to show up in AF2. I note that my model.tmc and repaint.tmc are jumbled up in Windows Notepad. Not in a proper stack order for some reason. I wonder if that might be causing my repaint not to show up. Example attached.
EDIT: I did put in the name of the repaint in the [ Blank ] sections as specified, all to correct changes. But the repaint doesnt show. There is a blank plane that appears, with no name, no color changes, and the TTX files appear in the 'airplanes' folder in My Documents, but the plane just doesnt show.

Brilliant! Many thanks, Jeff.

Just curious... I looked in the aircraft folder for the dr400 folder in Aerofly, and its not there... When the exporter creates a new plane, does it go to a different location then the aircraft folder?

k4stn,
That did it - thanks very much. I was trying to verify that the DR400 could be started on the ground - but it wouldn't - then someone recommended it to be rebuilt - then ERROR. I think your fix has been overlooked somewhere?? Hope it is in the next releaseDave
How do you know what version of the SDK you have?
Many thanks,
Bill
