Happy to delete this thread but I am starting to find the other ones a bit too cluttered and having specific sub threads will allow people to find answers quicker. Is the consensus is to delete then I will ask admin to delete.

In anticipation of the new update in the next few weeks I thought that on e released, we could use this thread to list improvements or bug fixes. It often takes me a long time to find them all and we can share what we find here.

I am running aerofly on an 16gb iPad mini (retina) and hope to download as much aerofly content as possible. If the switzerland scenery is added to aerofly 2 then I can delete Aerofly FS and will be able to dedicate a whole 6.5GB to Aerofly 2! Hopefully this would be enough to download all sceneries and aircraft as well as higher resolution imagery.

    -Classic and vintage commercial aircraft
    - more real life navaids and selectable nav inc moving radial and hdg bug
    - ATC chatter
    - more aircraft functionality (carb heat, prop and mixture sliders), selectable QNH and QFE, lights, engine on/off
    - fuel burn
    - Ground lights at night
    - Switzerland scenery(so I can delete AF1)
    - use of autopilot without flight info bar
    - AI traffic
    - airspace which you have to select right freq or squak code to enter
    - map behind navigation page
    - chart view so you don't have to go into the main menu to see where you are
    -clouds and rain
    -carb icing modelled
-Authentic airliner noises such as passenger chatter and announcements
    - Selectable trim
    - model engine overheat
    -parking brake
    - selectable spoiler settings

What sort of new aircraft would people like to see introduced to AF2. I personally would like to see some regional jets and turbo props (ATRs, Q800, BAE 146 etc) or some classic airliners (HS748, BAC 1-11, trident, comet, tristar Concorde etc).

As much as I am looking forward to the new P-38, I am not overly bothered by more military aircraft unless there are missions or combat mode. Feel free to model an English Electric Lightning or Avro Vulcan though!

Is there any way that FSX or xplane models can be ported to AF on iOS or if users can design and share aircraft to promote a community or aircraft modellers?

Ipacs, when can we expect an update to fix the main bugs highlighted on this forum? I have stopped using the app for the time being as I find the rudder/power zoom too annoying. I hope this can be fixed ASAP.

I flew this route ifr in the baron 58. The nav worked fine although at one point nav 1 was turned into 110.70 instead of 110.50 which is the ILS freq for 25R. Also I had fly a blind heading initially as the adf was tuned into 335 instead of the Reigate DNB freq of 374 but once I got close it switched to the right freq.

I have noticed that the green arrow on the Baron's RMI point neither to VOR1, VOR 2 or ADF 2 (which is always the same as ADF 1). Instead it always points west.

Also VOR 2 was permanently tuned to 117.30 which is the Salina VORTAC to the south of Oakland. When I headed towards where this VORTAC is in real life, the DME for VOR 2 went up not down.

I really hope they put the VORs and NDBs on the map and allow us to manually changes the freqs in both NAV 1 and NAV 2 as well as select radials and turn the radial dial on the instruments.

I used to use the old iOS xplane 9 (rubbish simulator though it was) to practice ifr flying as it had all of these features and you could use the interactive instruments on the panel to change freqs etc so it had an extra level of realism. I hope AF2 allows this level of functionality in the future!

I will have to try that approach.

I can't until we can enter our own nav crews and using en rte navaids and it would be great if we could manually select radials using an obs knob. Also I hope the autopilot panels on the 747 and A320 are updated so all of the instruments work. I dislike having to use the flight info bar select altitudes and headings.

It will be interesting to see what the instrument panel of the planned 737 looks like as it looked like non-glass cockpit in the teaser pictures on FB.

I would like to try full control deflection and think that it would work on an iPad as we will 'feel' the stall approaching by noticing a low airspeed and by the loss of control authority and sensitivity. Also an audible stall warning would help.

I agree that the king air sound should be left as it is for realism as it then matches the prop setting. I am sure you know by that I am a supporter of maximum realism and would love to see another slider for power/prop/mixture where applicable. I find with all the mobile sim there isn't a lot to when in the cruise or at altitude. I would like to spend time change the prop setting, changing mixture, using carb heat, regulating engine temps, setting the next nav or radio freq etc etc. I have fsx on a laptops and use VATSIM now and again but I find it a hassle to set up and sit at the desk to play. I play aerofly and IF probably ten times as much as it is quick to start and I can play while lounging on the sofa or lying bed.

I get that you face a challenge trying to satisfy a variety of customers. I think that war thunder, although a terrible sim, had the right idea with three difficulty settings (arcade, realistic and sim) that increased the difficulty, added more user functionality and also more constraints such as fuel burn. I think that this is a must on any mobile sim due to the large demographic of player compared to traditional desktop sims. With such a broad spectrum of users, the one sim fits all approach simply will survive contact and will ultimately alienate parts of your customer base. I think that these issue may cause a situation where competing sims unwittingly carve up the market by specifically appealing to certain customers of a certain age and experience. To my mind this is already happening with IF appealing more to the younger arcade market who just want to click and play and AF appealing to the older simmers looking for more complex systems, functionality and detailed cockpits over HUDs, fighter jets and more liveries.

I think one way you introduce a tiered difficulty system would be to introduce a few 'complex' aircraft with more functionality and realistic physics/control settings. I for one would be happy to double what a standard aircraft costs to be able to fly something that requires constant fiddling with sliders and management of system to prevent failures.

I know that there is a long way to go before this level of complexity is possible on these devices but I am sure that adding mixture control, carb heat, engine on and off and changeable vor freqs to the standard 172 or Robin (RIP) would be within the art of the possible. I pray that one day AF2 or even AF3 will have pop up realistic instruments and panels (such as the radio stack on FSX) where you can turn knobs and press buttons rather than pressing floating grey buttons on the screen. This will add to the immersion and realism and allow me to sell my computer and say goodbye to FSX. I am also following the mobile camera technology with interest as some manufactures reckon they will be able to make tablets that monitor your eye movements in order to scroll pages when you get to the bottom. This technology could mean that the iPad has a built in trackIR and looking to the edge of the screen pans the view.

Please take this as constructive criticism and customer feedback. I think out of all the mobile sims on the market, AF has the best chance of becoming the mobile version of FSX and in doing so would become the sim of choice for the adult customers who are willing to part with cash for a quality product.

Sounds good, I am using 16gb on my faster iPad mini and will have to manage memory very carefully. I am Hoping that I will have space for a few more sceneries so I can fly some interesting commercial sectors and the odd international flight. Once switzaland is added I'll delete Aerofly FS 1 and that should free up quite a lot of space.

Another idea I like is to have a test flight option where we can fly the aircraft we don't own for 60secs in order to see if we want them or not.

Have you considers interactive cockpits where we can move throttles, mixtures, flaps, undercarriage etc by touching them on the instrument panel itself as an alternative to the sliders?

I have just stumbled across another mobile sim who although cannot match AF2 for detail, do have this feature and I think it would be a great addition to AF2.

BTW. Decided to fly the 747 from Sacremento to Salt Lake City today. The out of zone was still quite good up until when I crossed the Nevada Arizona Border where there was a large blue band of up textured scenery and than the textures became so basic that you could not make out Salt Lake City. I would definitely recommend Salt Lake City or Las Vegas as future sceneries to develop as they are the perfect distance for the A320 or B737.
