Puh... not exactly what I have. I have the Problem, that Geoconverter can convert my bmp source files to ttc. It produce even _mask files (From where he think he can take the information I don't know, the size is always 1 kb. Also not all ttc files have a corresponding mask file…)

If I put the masks in the alpha channel and save the tif (I can see the working alpha channel in a viewer) and I change the file format in the .inf file to .tif, the geoconverter ist doing something but does not write any ttc and mask ttc files. There is no output.

I thought it is, because Paint Shop Pro X7 does not write the correct tif format. So I install gimp and export the tif in a format recommended in the IPACS tutorial. Starting up geoconverter again: Result: no files.

I tried both: 1 Bit Alpha Channel and 8 bit Alpha Channel.

    Any Idea?

    and so on ….

This one click download need to be more configurable for the scenery developer. You don't want to download big areas completely in High Level 15 Resolution. Also it often happens in high resolution areas, that some places are not covered at all and you get greyed tiles. If I would sell a scenery airport I need to define in very fine details what photo scenery I like to download by the users to make my airport great. Also there is the Problem of planes, cars and other stuff on the textures you want to get rid off at least at airports, and also the source of the photo scenery can change with time. So at the moment I see only the option to set your airport on top of an existing DLC to habe enough environment around but for example Justflight, Aerosoft,... would not publish airports on ORBX,... DLCs or vice versa because the customer would be forced to buy from a different producer.

The solution to "paint" the photo textures for small area around the airports is also not really a solution. But if you can automate the painting with OSM Data for Streets and buildings and others... if someone can build such tool the "photo" scenery can be build so it can be distributed. You "just" need to build a huge library of brushes for streets, fields, water and other stuff. It would be something like the normal map-mode but not with plain colors for streets and so on but filled with painted photo realistic grafics. This tool could free you from all the legal problems of real photo/ortho scenery and give the user (hopefully) good realistic ground, still much more real than generic landclasses, especially if combined with cultivation drawn from the same source. I don't know if this has any hope to come alive. :)

Ok, since you post the URLs...

I ordered from https://vroptiker.de/ this is the German version of vroptician.com, so we found the same provider. ;)

Well, it's here. Mounting them into the Rift is not so obvious, there could have been a "this side up" somewhere. Left and Right was marked on the plastic bags for each lens. So no problem there - I thought. But I had the rift upside down on the table. X-D

Ok, beside of that they click into place and the test could start. The lenses for the rift are quiet big so they touch your face a bit. I should get a distance-piece for the rift to make the distance a bit bigger. But it is ok. The lenses are good, and it really make sense not to use your normal glasses. So I am happy with it.

Didn't know that you can order this?

I will not make any commercial here so you need to search for yourself.

I am wearing glases. Under the Rift it is not really nice, one got even broken. A friend pointed me to this possibility to buy lenses to plug into the rift.

A bit of a search I even found an optician in the village next to my home. They should be ready in two or three days. I will report.

Just be careful if you search an internet shop. One was located in Thailand, which was very difficult to find out. Cheap lenses but what is the quality?

No more hurting glasses under the VR. I hope it works.

Currently North-West with Frankfurt/Main is not finished.

Just in time to the elections in Bavaria, I finished the last part of Bavaria. Around 50 GB with Ortho-Pictures I can not distribute and around 1.3 GB cultivation and approximately 400 airfield data. This will replace my existing packages to make an all in one, although I don't know if I can upload this size to flight-sim.org. If not, I need to split it.

If someone is developing an airport in detail in this area, just give me a hint and I can offer a cultivation fix so you have no generic cultivation buildings at the airport.

I guess it should be available this week.

Aerofly FS 2 Addon Scenery flightXtreme

    Bavaria (Bayern) V1.0

    Download:

    http://www.flightxtreme.com/BavariaV1.zip

(ZIP is too big for flight-sim.org at the moment.)

Included are more than 400 (very) basic airport data and cultivation of the whole area.
This pack replace all of my previous Level 7 Bavaria packages, please delete them before installing this.

Sadly I cannot provide you with the photo scenery. You need to
build it on your own, tools an help can be found on the IPACS Aerofly homepage.

If you have already an airport scenery in this area, simply rename
the ...tsc file to ...off so the file from this package will not be used by the sim.

Install: Copy the content of the "scenery" folder from this ZIP into your addon "scenery" folder of your aerofly fs 2.

Be careful to place also the building_textures folder in the correct place, the ZIP include the correct layout.

Thanks to TomSimMuc that I can include some of his FSCloudPort Airports.
    For reference: http://www.fscloudport.com/

    If you have IPACS Switzerland:
There could be some duplicated cultivations.
If so, try to turn of TOC Files by renaming them to 'off'
Also turn off (rename from ...tsc to ...off all airports,
    already covered by IPACS Switzerland:
    LSMF_Mollis
    LSZX_Schaenis
    LSMD_Duebendorf
    LSZH_Zuerich Kloten
    LSZK_Speck-Fehraltorf
    LSZR_St Gallen

If you have ORBX Innsbruck you can make it compatible by:

    Option 1: Rename the files:
    scenery\flightXtreme\places\L7_8800_A600\L9_8800_A680\cul_8800_A6C0.toc
    scenery\flightXtreme\places\L7_8800_A600\L9_8800_A680\cul_8800_A680.toc
    scenery\flightXtreme\places\L7_8800_A600\L9_8800_A680\cul_8840_A6C0.toc
    scenery\flightXtreme\places\L7_8800_A600\L9_8800_A680\cul_8840_A680.toc
    to:
    scenery\places\eu_fXt\L7_8800_A600\L9_8800_A680\cul_8800_A6C0.off
    scenery\places\eu_fXt\L7_8800_A600\L9_8800_A680\cul_8800_A680.off
    scenery\places\eu_fXt\L7_8800_A600\L9_8800_A680\cul_8840_A6C0.off
    scenery\places\eu_fXt\L7_8800_A600\L9_8800_A680\cul_8840_A680.off

    OR

Option 2: Rename this file in ORBX:
    scenery\orbx_lowi\places\innsbruck\innsbruck.toc
    to:
    scenery\orbx_lowi\places\innsbruck\innsbruck.off

This is to remove flickering cultivation.
(Sadly I cannot look into the innsbruck toc file to see the exact boundary of the cultivation.
So it can be necessary to turn of other cul_... files if you choose option 1.)

There is an aerobatic box in Straubing, if you want to delete it, remove the folder:
    L9_8880_A800\AerobaticBox_EDMS\

If you don't want to have so much airports and airfields in you sim you can remove unwanted places by scanning the ICAO Code:
ED.. -> Public airports, airfields and airstrips.
    ET.. -> Military airfields
    EDU000 -> Ultra light airstrips
    EDS000 -> Glider airstrips
EDP000 -> Power and RC airstrips

I have not really take care to identify closed airports. So be careful where you land.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you have improved airport files or other landscape objects you want to provide,

so I can include it into a future package, it is welcome.

Use it on your own risk, I take no warranty.

For reference you can also use the included Google Earth file: Bavaria.kml

Ok, now the same package is on flight-sim.com, only I had to split it into two packages.

Ooopsi, one day this area was gone....

    https://flight-sim.org/filebase/index…0-missing-area/

Well... it really depends on the plane, what is working and what not.

Magnetos are working for Off, Both ALL and Start. But not for L and R.

You can assign the "not working" switches. But if the plain is not implementing the specific function, it will not work.

In between I would give more than 60% functionality.

Well, I had no template for my Extra 330 repaint as well. So it is possible, but a bit of try and error till success. (and i still have a small error at the tires...)

Start with replacement textures with a grid layout. Paint some of the cells with distinct colors you can easily spot on the model. Compile it and try to identify every place for all the parts of the plane.

Et voila, you have your new template for your plane.

Exactly. So... here some pictures from my help for the Tanzanian Airforce, I needed to turn to not getting into Kenia Airspace.

Mount Meru in front, I started from Arusha

    Ngurdoto Crater

Mount Klimanjaro… had more snow in the past, but this is better than nothing

In Camp Barranco everything looks ok...
