After watching the doco series Worst Place to be a Pilot, I'd love to see the Papua region added - those challenging mountain top runways would be great fun.

Made an interesting "landing" the other day on one of my(failed) can-I-glide-to-that-airport challenges. There was no bounce or spin, it just stuck and stopped in an instant and stayed there!

Ugh, I've run out of Internet so I won't be able to update for a while. Is the throttle rudder zoom bug fixed?
-
I am so sorry! I always forget the ipad version
For some reason I think you meant the desktop version. All good

The "2" F-18 can be put in a spin but it takes really serious abuse to do it, like very high angle of attack, stall, rudder and after a pause opposite aileron. Easier inverted. Does not recover easily either. Good fun.
I think actually yes the AF1 F18 is more "tippy" at low speeds but the AF2 F18 can as you say be put into a serious flat spin that I can't seem to induce in AF1.
Fun indeed.

That's what I assumed it did, but couldn't notice any difference in practice. I didn't notice a visible windfeild control on AF2 on the ipad - might have missed that one!
Cheers for the reply

Has anyone found what the Thermal Activity slider does? I haven't been able to work out if it is doing anything or not yet.
Cheers

I put AF1 back on the ipad yesterday, and it was interesting to note the difference in the F18 handling around stall speed. The AF1 F18 will stall and tip over much more readily than the AF2 version.
I don't want to sound too negative though with my comments, AF2 is a fine product!

If there is ever the opportunity to incorporate realism settings, it would be hugely appreciated! I'm not worried about it being difficult to fly - that's kinda the point
-
I've never flown a real Learjet, but to me the AF2 version feels a bit tamed down or something. The stall behaviour is super docile, and you can really dump it onto the runway without crashing. I guess they have a lot of electronic stabilisation, but this just doesn't feel quite right.
What do others think?

I just flew past Mt Bona in Alaska in the F18 - it's a bit blury but I took a photo Considering a round the world expedition next......

Oh yes a moving carrier would be so good. 'Maverick has the ball......'

Nice landing! Which jet is that and why don't I have it?!! (That is AF2 on Ipad, right?)
Edit: Ha I do have it, just in a different color Ignore me....

Very nice! Any chance you can make a video of the bridge landing and post the link here? I would be glad to add it to my Aerofly FS playlist (see link below).
Thanks!
Sadly I don't have any way to make a video of it at the moment.

In the SF area, you should be able to land on the Golden Gate bridge as well. Now that would give you a view! If you do that, please post a screen shot in this thread.

It is tight coming in but can be done:

Simulated engine failure would be a fun feature, if you combined it with making only selected areas of the ground safe for landing. At the moment you can land almost anywhere safely.
So many possibilities to expand on this current platform. Do it realistically and people will pay good money for it, guaranteed.

Cirrus SR22!

Not sure if this is a bug or a limitation of the sim, but if you finish a flight on say the F-18 or something fast, then start a new flight with something slow, like the Cessna, you often get the aircraft being initialised with some ridiculous speed that will just tear the wings off or send you zooming vertically.
Is this something that will be addressed in an update?
Cheers

?....
Its our ongoing battle between making a realistic simulator but not make it too difficult for most users.
.......
If you are marketing this as a flight simulator, not a game, then realistic flight models should be the number one goal in my opinion. There are plenty of good flying games - you don't need to add another to that category. I'd pay much more for this if it were more realistic. I shouldn't be able to land on the ocean, or pull full elevator in the 172 at 330knots in a dive and not have the wings fold
