For sailplanes. Thermals = rising air = lift = happy sailplane pilots. In the sim even at max thermal activity, I find the thermals to be very weak and difficult to soar with.
Ridge soaring using wind blowing upslope is mucvh more doable in the sim.

For an incredible flight... go to the Swiss Alps, pick a sailplane, setup some favorable strong winds and do some cross country ridge running. Stunning!
Yeah! Nice ty! Cumulus clouds turned back on.
"I note that under my user name it says Professional. I am in no way a professional anything. I am just a casual user who bumbles through flight sims by mostly using other folks ideas and posts. Any way to get that label removed or modified?"
Enjoy it while it lasts. At 500 posts it changes to "Oh wise one".
Did you switch the mags to both?
However there is a problem with the Corsair starter. When powered off, battery master off and mags off, the prop will intermittantly spin/crank on its own (starter off/guarded). If when it spins you select the mags to both the engine fires up. The intermittant spin/crank appears to be a bug.
Similar issue with the Jungmeister.
The montgolfier vegas billboard in FS4 is running ads for FS2...
Reverb G2 working fine for me.
Have you tried unplugging the Reverb G2 power cable and... well, powering it off, then on again?
Hello,
I recently discovered a similar issue as op. I had no mouse control in VR. Take headset off and mouse pointer works fine on monitor.
Found that I had to tap Win+Y to toggle in and out of the desktop mode, and it then restored the mouse cursor in VR. Not sure what or when this changed but this was the soloution for me.
Just in case anyone else having same issue...
Aerofly FS is the king of VR civilian flight sims.
I second what Micropig says above.
Cheers
The Reverb G2 + Aerofly is simply stunning.
Thanks that's what I thought. I've been using a CV1 and have a G2 on order. Was told by someone it did not support WMR.
Does Aerofly fs 2 support the Reverb G2? WMR?
Cheers
Good info in this video. ^
Rift CV1 works great. Rift S is much improved version of the CV1 except for downgraded audio (use your own headphones/earbuds).
We need some voices here. What are you doing? What are you planning to do? I know you have something big up your sleeves, and I know your calm, silent and lowkey style, but this is not a time to relax. It's a time of crisis. The wolf has come. You have to shout out to let people stand by you. Don't delete me. I am writing this out of my long time love for you.
I am putting on my stretch pants and planning to eat a large turkey dinner. After eating I'll relax. Probably take a nap.
Happy Thanksgiving.
I've been exploring the Napali coast on Kauai with the EC135... you guys have nailed this gorgeous scenery. Flew this coast in another recently released sim and it is not even close to the beauty that has been modelled in AFFS2. Hit it out of the park.
Kudo's
I have only recently been able to explore the EC135. I have to say this is a piece-of-art. Beautifully done. Absolute joy to fly.
In the flight sim world IPACS/Aerofly OWNS the chopper segment.
Thanks for the great addition to the fleet.
Cheers
Thanks for the quick replies. I'm a pilot with a glider rating, not a gamer. Aerofly is the best sailplane fs I've seen.
Aerofly is great, and for choppers (R22) it's Aerofly hands down. but for best VR glider sim, check out Condor2. From a fellow glider rated guy.
Hello,
A potential new Aerofly user here.
To sum it up: Should I just look elsewhere if I want to make full use of my controls and get a very realistic helicopter simulation, or does the AFS2 have option to take full advantage of this kind of setup?
Hi Earplane,
The R22 in Aerofly is (imo), more difficult to fly than the HUEY in DCS. But, you have to check the "Expert" mode box when selecting the R22. If not selected the R22 will be in "EASY" mode. Definitely worth checking out in EXPERT mode. I seriously doubt you would be disappointed.
I believe the angle of the dangle (wheel angle), is to accommodate stowage of the gear in the various aircraft fuselage designs.
Also, what is up with Capt. Joe's eyeball?
