I have updated the original post to inform everyone that this new region will be in the form of a FREE DLC.
Also, here are a couple more screenshots of some new airports.

Yes indeed. You can set up your rudder controls on any key or button but it's best if you bind the rudder controls to analog triggers.
If you go into settings/controls/primary you can bind your rudder.

Hope you'll enjoy chasing speeding drivers:D[/QUOTE
It's Live now for download. Nice work Jay
Rodeo, you are unstoppable Very nice work
Just curious... I looked in the aircraft folder for the dr400 folder in Aerofly, and its not there... When the exporter creates a new plane, does it go to a different location then the aircraft folder?
It goes into your documents/Aerofly FS 2/Aircraft folder. That's also where any custom liveries go as well, if you add them.
Hey - just finished....I think. There is always something else that can be done with things like this and you have to just stop yourself at some point.
Anyway, I sent the ZIP of the livery to the upload email (always Jeff?) so you should see that soon.
Happy Flying!
It's posted and ready for download. You are sure keeping me busy I'm here to serve (Torsten promoted me from cook to server)
The AF2 wiki is a great source of info, and I was wondering when it comes to speeds and all on some aircraft, which weight should we be looking at?
I added those tables with weights anticipating aircraft load values being added in a future update eventually. For now just use the lowest weight values on the charts as those would be considered as "empty" loads. Since the KIAS differences don't vary too much between them it shouldn't really matter too much at this point. I'll be adding more aircraft info soon, including visual aircraft diagrams showing where everything is located in the cockpits.
Give me some time and I'll try to tackle this

"What I agree on is that we maybe should publish more about what we are working on and what our end goal is going to be."...I think it is a mistake to publish projects more frequently. The more it is published, the more questions and controversy will occur.
In my opinion, the publications that are made must be sufficiently detailed and extensive, otherwise. There will be endless questions and debates.
Do not post something, if that will generate questions THAT CAN NOT BE ANSWERED. It is a mistake to make such a publication because it will only generate sterile questions and debates. I have no doubt that in this project is working hard (with great dedication), so I think it is not convenient to publish aspects of the project, if the nature of the updates and the date are not known.
When you start a project, you always think of dates, but then the experience shows that they never end on the dates you originally intended. There are always a lot of difficulties that delay the end of the project, and much more, in something as fantastic as this game, which is definitely almost the entire globe without designing: cities, territory, airports, and so on. We have almost everyone to build all those infrastructures. Given this enormous complexity, we must understand that dates can not be given to their end, even for certain regions, because any of these regions, supposes an enormous amount of work, especially considering that this work is pure fantasy and creativity.
That is why I am very convinced that this project will take much longer than originally planned. However, if you continue with this degree of perfection, I am one of the users who tells your designers: go ahead, your game, it is extraordinary; Continue with this great quality, I am willing to wait what is necessary, this is the "best flight simulator" in the market. CONGRATULATIONS, DESIGNERS!
delfin, your argument is subjective as there are many users out there that want exactly opposite than you. Sneak peeks are an option to post something upcoming rather than not posting anything at all and have users complain that they hear nothing from the developers in a long time. Also, some of these updates take time to finish so there are no exact release dates for them at the time of notice. There were many users on both this and Steam forums that have specifically mentioned to at least post sneak peeks to what's being worked on, and that's what's being done. What was done here was merely posting something positive so that users have something to look forward to. If that bothers you, then don't open the thread. And this is not meant to be an attack, so don't take it like one.
Here's a repaint that I'm just finishing up. What do you think?
Here is a sneak peek of an all new region coming your way. This is a majestic area. Can you guess this new location?
This new region will be in the form of DLC and will be completely FREE. Please have a little bit more patience will the final touches are being made.
Jeff
When I go to controller set up then to the autopilot tab then assign
a key to the navigation function you cannot operate the navigation button on the autopilot with that
keyboard button if you click on it with a mouse you can operate it
all the rest of the buttons ( vertical, speed, heading, altituude ) on the auto
pilot you can assigned a keyboard key and they work fine .This is not about binding a button. This is about controlling the function after the button is bound with that button
In addition the NAV button on the auto pilot on the Lear works perfect
If you use the mouse to activate itIt is not just me that is having to his problem. Everyone is having this problem
My apologies, I somehow missed what you were asking here. It's odd, I had it working just fine when I tried it, that's why I didn't see a problem.
Any resolution to this yet Jeff
you can bind the NAV and APP functions the same way as the other mode
functions ( in the Controls / Autopilot menu these are called
Navigation and Approach).
The missing function is the autopilot function reverse/backcourse
which is not assignable yet, and is not yet implemented in the
autopilot.
Please note that while you can assign a button or key to the NAV and
APP functions, those are only working for the 'basic'autopilots on
the C172 and Baron58. The more advanced autopilot / FMS onthe
A320/B747/LJ45/.. ignore this event at the moment (mostly because NAV
can mean many things to the FMS ). This will be addressedwith the
next major update of the autopilot system.
Hope this helps clear this up for you.
Dear colleagues,
this is the missing tutorial. Hope it helps!
Regards
Rodeo
I just converted your tutorials into the new Wiki. I'm sure that I can speak on behalf of the Aerofly FS 2 community here, your contribution is one of the first kickstarters to user interaction and user based modifications; A very important step in the success for the future of Aerofly FS 2. Great Work !
You can not map the autopilot NAV button with a keyboard key all the rest of the buttons
On the autopilot work fine
I will look into this for you
It is already in the beta channel. When you go into betas and choose to opt into the beta channel sometimes you need to log out of Steam then log back in for it to recognize the channel change. See if that works for you. Also, please remember, this update will download 10 GB of files but will not increase the total FS 2 space used overall. It has a lot of file replacements packed in.
