To uninstall Beta go into Steam and right click on your Aerofly FS2 Flight Simulator game then select properties from the drop down menu that will appear. Next select the Betas tab and where it says select the beta you would like to opt into pick None - Opt opt out of all beta programs. Then give it an hour or so and it should be updated to the no beta version. I have done that because I was having livery display problems with one of my planes. It now works fine in the non beta. Hope this helps.

I was fiddling around with the wettergerat program last night and whilst flying about went to change my C152 livery to the Australian one. And.... Quelle Horreur! It would not display that skin. Is this a known problem or was it just my install playing up? (I offloaded Beta and everything works fine).
I took a shuftie at the Justflight website to see if there was any updates but honestly that site is like "repel boarders!" and from what I saw there were no updates to just about anything. Moral of this little aside is that maybe buying through Steam is the best option guys.

Hi Carl,
I was about to point you to a similar problem that someone reported in the South Florida scenery a week or so back and then realized that was you too.
I would suggest that you opt out of Beta if you are in it. Run your program in OpenGL not Vulkan. If you still have problems then I would bite the bullet and do a full re-install. Not worth the annoyance of trying to find answers with an intermittent and pesky problem sometimes.

Hmmm just thinking ..... Is the only Florida package on your machine? I think that Izojub has quite a few Florida sceneries and put them over on flight-sim.org and if you have loaded some of those on your machine you might have a scenery conflict.

I am running the Beta version and have no problems so I am thinking you are right about elevation. Maybe you should re-instal it.

Krzysztof has been busy updating his plane models over on the github.com website. I believe the latest changes by this talented benefactor has been to reflections. Go grab them, they are free.

There is some Vancouver scenery already on flight-sim.org. Three files. Worth downloading and checking out whilst waiting for this updated one. ☺

Love the POA (aka Pride of America aka Price on Application)! Great cruise ship and the only US manned and built one in the world I believe.

I was flying around Long beach this morning in Krzysztof's new Flaris plane and realized that the Queen Mary and the Spruce building are 2D. The nearby USS Iowa is in 3D so I was wondering if anyone had modeled these iconic tourist places in 3D?
The Queen Mary in particular is pretty famous having "starred" in many movies and TV series. The latest being the Spanish High Seas series.
Please excuse my lousy screenshots.

Krzysztof has been busy again with improvements and new planes in the github.

Thanks to him for these great and FREE planes. I love the Farman.

I have one of those HP Pavilion Gaming Laptops. It was pretty cheap compared to other gaming rigs and it has two graphics cards. I have set 120 FPS in AFS2 and get pretty close to that in most scenery. Pretty pleased with it.
There were no printed instructions, and it took me a while to work out that I had to go into the NVIDIA settings and select the better card and associate Steam with it to get full benefits from the cards. The only other downside I think is the 512 GB hard disk. If I had buckets of money I would really like to get a machine with a 2TB SSD primary drive. That way I could get more scenery.

more shaky landings so I actually know if I landed or not. also would be nice to have a shaky takeoff too. just like real flight simulator I love the shaky landings and takeoff in RFS
You got a Buttkicker? That can give you shaky landings and take offs.

If I bought a new tablet which models would give me the ability to play the latest mobile versions of our game? I cannot play the latest version on my current Android Samsung Tablet or phone.

I run my game on a laptop these days, but having checked out a few of the monitors in a nearby electrical appliance store for my wife I did love the curved screens. I would definitely buy one of those if I was in the market for a new screen.

That is great news. I love his planes. Doubly great news seeing as ORBX seems to have thrown itself behind the new MSFS within a day of its release! I do wish they had finished their PNW for our sim first. Profit rules in their case.

Thanks for the quick replies. I'm a pilot with a glider rating, not a gamer. Aerofly is the best sailplane fs I've seen.
Hi, do you mean that there are thermals in the game that make flying a glider a realistic experience or are you talking about the visuals and controls on the model?

I am thinking that standing so close to a helicopter that may or may not crash is not such a smart idea.
It was a bit tight wasn't it.

Wow! Thank you Stratospheric. I will be having a play with that tomorrow. 😎

Thanks for the offer but if your music is after 1972 I probably would not like it. ☺
