Mine too, I think I'll pass this one, I await a real solution.
I use 'Geoconvert helper' and I have black sections.
About the tif thing; Now I had only an airport with only tif files, no bmp, GeoConverter helper thinks there is nothing there...
I solved it by quickly moving a bmp file around
But I don't think that will be a problem after your next update.
See you tomorrow
It depends were you are... I'm North-West so for me is everything positive.
If Geoposition gives a negative sign, ceep it.
It does not show.
Make a subfolder in 'Plases' name it "ehmz_middenzeeland"
Thats the ICAO code, then an underscore, then the name of you airport.
Al lowercase. No spaces. Put you tsc file in that folder and
also give your tsc file the same name.
Restart FS2
Yes that is the way to do it, I've put my tsc file from Midden Zeeland in A subfolder from "Places" as you can see in the picture.
I'll go move directly into places to see if that works too, hold on.
I'm not sure if I understand you right..
Do you try to paste the content of the TSC file into a folder?
That is not right, you have to put the TSC file in that folder.
Or is it impossible to paste into the TSC file?
Wordpad is not good, Notepad is not good, try Notepad++
You're almost there, it took me some 8 FS2 starts to see my airport eventually
Check everything, comma's, empty lines, I even read that you can screw up by not using notepad++

Good morning, It is indeed for all coordinates.
If you tackle the orange notes in the tsc on the wiki one by one it's a breeze..
It's 21:41 in the evening!
Yes you are correct, note that you have to insert different coordinates for main, tower and runway, explained in the link
You have to ope your tsc file to paste coordinates into that and change names and more.
Look here, scroll a little down and you see the tsc explained and were you have to paste everything in the tsc file.
OK, by switching I mean this:
Just went to my hometown in MyGeoPosition and pressed the upper copy button
This is on my clipboard : 51.6501220,3.9184980
That's a lot of numbers but if you take a look carefully you can see the switch
This is the way to fill in out in your tsc [3.9184980 51.6501220]
Also notice that you have to replace the comma with a space.
I used the copy button on the MoGeoPosition site but I had to switch the coordinates, then it worked
The only alternative at this time is to manually build the tfw files
Is GeoConvert Helper Java?
Got it done, this is my coastline now:

Not everything is perfect:

But I'm proud of my green to blue:

Thanks for the hints Jeff, I'm off to the next island
I think the brainpower of the people on Texel adapts to the sheep...
I hope you still have your Crete FSET files?
So I did a testproject of two tiles coastline.
I first have to say that I could not find any water with FSET, even a big lake gives me empty tiles.
So I took a plane, made a half role and took a picture of the original FS2 sea.
Sorry but the system makes my screenshots smaller.
Left my new coast, right the old ugly one.

The ugly transition is now at sea, can you see?

My small patch from 3000 ft, the transition out to sea is here no more visable

I did not manage that specular layer but I'm happy.
I still have to find a trick to do the transition from green to blue water very smooth but I will find one.
It's going yo be quit a task I think
