Geez I thought this was all meant to be simple...
So we do use inf2tfw? Wiki says GeoConvert does it now so that can be skipped?
Basically I ran FSET, says "done" now I don't know what to do lol.

The Wiki says there is a sample TMC files and to put in required coordinates, but then as far as I can see, it doesn't say what to do with the file.
Do we just always edit the sample one? Where do we save the edited version?
Thanks
What Spit40 says... except I use the free version called OpenVRDesktop available on Github. OVRDrop is the same thing but a newer version from the same guy, so go ahead and try it for free, it's awaesome.
Ah cheers yeah comes up now. Still not purchased though as there seems to be mixed reviews on these.
I am undecided on the Orbx addons at the moment, but thought I'd get FTX Central installed in case I decide to take the plunge.
Upon installing it says select sim, but nothing comes up. Never used Orbx before so am I doing something wrong?
Thanks.
Nobody seems to have mentioned a little free program called OpenVRdesktop (free on Github though I think there's now a paid version on Steam too).
This allows you to have windows open in the VR world, it is amazing!!! You can have them static in place, or like I do attached to one of your motion controllers. So for example, I plan my flight on SkyVector with VOR frequencies showing, then in the sim I pick up my controller which I have on the seat next to me in the Cessna and it's like looking at a clipboard. I have it set so when I hold it up infront of me it enlarges too.
Also using SideSync from Samsung, I can display my phone on PC. With this I can even have SkyDemon running and again view my flight and the moving map in the sim.
No screenshots at night, so I guess no added night lighting?
??
In the Tampa video, you see the FSX cockpit at the upper right!
Yeah but that's all, that cockpit has FSX scenery out the window. I don't believe there is any actual fullscreen cockpit with Google Earth out of the windows.
Only videos I have seen don't have a simulator cockpit in sight.
Thank you!!
I'd like someday for there to be optional per aircraft control settings. Still have global control settings but ability to change a few specific to each plane if you liked. I think this will be more important when deeper systems are added, mixture etc.
Anyway to invert the throttle control on the Saitek throttle quadrant?
Flying the Cessna I'd obviously like to push it up to increase throttle.
Is there a file to edit or have I missed anything in the Saitek software allowing this?
Thanks
Surely this is a no brainer... airports (and VOR) should show up if you turn landmarks on, well I think so anyway.
Obviously if going for realism you will not use it, but I like to use the landmark feature now and then.
I saw quite a long stip of the yellow tiles, they seem to vanish if you get close, but they sure are ugly!

Cold and dark? Am I missing something as it starts up running for me same as all the others.
Did that 21gb update, now another 16gb for the DLC!! The more the merrier
Good lawd, was a 21gb or so update, now 16gb for the DLC
About 21gb to go...
Ah yes, thank you!
Woohoo a new free aircraft Looks like it will be a good one for VR
Installed SDK and content converter. Instructions say right click dr400 folder and select content converter. What am I missing? All I get is the usual Windows options when I right click the folder.
Sometimes I want to go in to AF but I just don't know what to do, and find it difficult to think of a way to make it interesting. Don't get me wrong, whatever I do it's always great on AF in VR.
I don't know how it would work, but on a motorbike forum a challenge would be set along the lines of "your bike next to awar memorial" or "your bike in front of a brewery" etc, and whoever got it first won the round and nominated the next challenge.
Obviously it can't be quite like that, but can anyone think of a game involving screenshots that would work?
