I have also observed this but was afraid of being called a newb for pointing it out. Perhaps this is a "feature" and not a "bug", but it is very annoying either way.

Has anyone shared any of their work yet? Has the copyright issue been clarified?

It may be perfect, but it is a lot less enjoyable to use. I am willing to sacrifice this one piece of realism for a plane that sits still at idle. Just my two cents.

As I have repeated ad nauseum, Aerofly only has so long of a window being "unique". Other developers, and eventually a big one, will catch up. That is why I keep urging them to speed up their efforts or they will do much of the initial work without receiving much of the benefit. The hobby is moving again. No one will get 10 years to perfect a platform. That was a unique result of the demise of FSX. Once people begin leaving that standard the hobby should see rapid change and improvements.

My guess is that FSET level 3 is about 3m/pixel, and goes well with Geoconvert levels 8, 11, and 12. It is great for fly-over scenery but you definitely want to use level 1 for detailed areas around airports, and use levels 9, 11, 12, 13 and 14 in Geoconvert, which at its level 14 corresponds to 1m/pixel.
It's all about how much time and space you are willing to give over to making and housing the scenery.

When I used a phone based VR system I got sick very quickly. When I got the Vive for my family I expected the same thing to happen, but I can honestly say I have never gotten nauseous in almost eight months of daily use.
As J van E says, it can vary from person to person with no rhyme or reason, and I also believe that many people who are sick initially get over it quickly.

I just sit up extra straight when I calibrate my position in the cockpit with the spacebar. When I slouch back down to normal sitting position I am lower in the cockpit. I do the same thing if I want my position to be further left or right.
The lazy man's solution! (And yes, I realize that fixing it via code fixes it permanently, and I still have to do my fix every time. But like I said, I'm lazy.)

Thank you for taking the time and making the effort to make and post this. It was lovely!

But that is the unsafest method you could do. Better would be in your user documents but some people don't have room there, that is when the "extra user folder" discussed here can be used. Instead of putting your files into the original folder where steam could delete them, e.g. when it checks integrity of the game, you should move them somewhere else!
I of course keep copies of all my created scenery in another directory on the computer. It would be a matter of a few minutes to replace them if for some reason Steam deletes them. But to each their own solution!

It has always worked for me. That is strange.
F:\Steam\steamapps\common\Aerofly FS 2 Flight Simulator\scenery\images\name of whatever scenery I made\then the files in that directory.
So for example: F:\Steam\steamapps\common\Aerofly FS 2 Flight Simulator\scenery\images\austria\ then the new files go in there.

Nothing about complexity. When I took my ride, there was no GPS - four course ranges and colored airways were alive and well. VOR's were state of the art but DME hadn't completely arrived.
DME was still in its infancy? Damn, your "handle" is accurate!

Is this an issue only if you installed Steam/Aerofly FS 2 to your c: drive? Mine is installed on my e: drive, and I copy my Geoconvert files to the scenery/images directory there without any problems. I don't install anything in the Documents folder.
If this isn't helpful my apologies. I am easily confused.

I was thinking more of a Private Pilot test in a 172 or PA-28 lol.

Do they let you use GPS during your flight test these days?

Cloud shadows are great! That's what made me finally switch from FSX to P3D.

I also hope that you make it easy to remove individual trees. There are a lot of them on roads, in lakes, etc in the DLC.

Thanks for the suggestion, but 1m/level 14 is really minimal for take off and landing. In the era of the old dated FSX, I was using 0.5m for large area converted with FSET. I really wouldn't go back and down much from that. FS2 deserves better resolution, and it sure has the potential. It just need GeoConvert to be as bug free as FSET and Orho4XP
I do the airports in 14 lol. I do the airports and the area nearby in higher res, otherwise the runways aren't sharp enough.

Learning to use the VOR is a core part of any airman's education. Back before GPS was part of FSX everybody had to learn how to use it if they wanted to do more than just circle Meigs Field or fly around the Empire State Building. Thanks for posting this.
And Flight had great potential. I really enjoyed it. Snobs killed it off like they are trying to kill off FS2. That and Microsoft making too many things DLC.

Ok, thanks for the reply.
