I have come to the conclusion that some people are much more likely to see stutters than others under the same conditions. I think some people's eye/brain setup are just more sensitive to the phenomenon. I think there is a different threshold at which different people perceive them. That is just my opinion from following this debate and noticing or not noticing them myself ever since the "stuttering" issue started being discussed about 15 years ago. Before that, frame rates were generally too low for stutters to be an issue!

Are you saying that you get LESS stutters with P3D in VR than with Aerofly? That is the opposite of my experience.
My system 6700K @4.7, 1080Ti Strix in overclock mode.

That was back in the exciting days (10 days ago? lol) not long after the release of the add-ons. I haven't heard a word about it since.
-
It always requires courage to ask them that sort of question. They get cranky when asked about the future. I look forward to how they answer you!

I run a 1080Ti overclocked card, and I can't run New York with insane shadows and SS set to 2 without some minor stutters. I leave the shadows set at the lowest setting and then I am pretty much stutter free except for a very rare "jump" now and again.

Yes, I have been wondering if this is still in the works. Any news to report?
-
The difference in takeoff performance alone makes your 172 a "must have". Everything else is just icing on the cake.

Thanks! I did not realize that was an assignment box. Worked just as you described.
And thanks for the updated 172. That is your baby, isn't it?

I am loving the Q400 more than should be allowed, but I have a problem that I know must be easy to solve but I can't find the answer. The lever that I have assigned to control the prop speed on my Saitek Yoke unit has things backwards, and I can't figure out how to reverse the way it is read. Right now the game is reading all the way up on this lever as minus, and all the way back as plus. None of the other levers on my throttle or the add-on Saitek throttle I use are doing that. I have read the manual but can't find info on reversing the axis.
There must be a way, and I must be missing it. What have I screwed up?

Best thing about Alitalia is the free wine on international flights!

Feels a little "darker" somehow without the shimmering lol.
Yes it works now. Thanks for getting it fixed.

Huzzah! The update is here. I will test it when I get a chance later today.

I guess Orbx must be really busy, because they still haven't updated FTX Central with the new code. They say they have it, so any day now!
-
It is fabulous to bring all of this information into the world of FS 2. It is so much more fun to learn these things in an environment like this than in hours of reading manuals.

Wonderful. Thanks Jeroeon.

I am so pleased and impressed with the autopilot on the 320. I can't say it enough, so I will say it one more time: just a superb job. Thanks for providing me with what will be many many hours of pleasant diversion from the real world.
-
I'm aware that they have a huge role to play in the future of FS 2. I am NOT advocating ticking them off lol. We are a small market right now, and they just released Open LC SA so they are busy.
-
Any response from Orbx yet on when they might post your fix to FTX Central?
-
I presume that the fix will appear as an update on FTX Central? I'll just check there in the morning.
-
Does this mean that Orbx now has the correct files? If so then the wait really should be short.
