In this case FSEarth Tiles could still be used?. If yes, which are the correct entries at the FSEarth Tiles. ini for those USGS services?.
Please help.

A very big reason why we don't provide release dates
Keep in mind that even though this thread states "GeoConvert Tool in June?" doesn't mean that we are committed to it. I didn't create this thread. Now, on the good side of this, we are now testing out a potential release candidate right now, so the tool should be in everyone's hands very soon.
Please let us just finish up on the testing and make some last minute fixes/changes as we want a quality product released to all of you.
Just to comment that when I initiated this thread days ago I was simple asking if the Geoconvert tool would be released during June, just that. I understand well the hard work being done by the developers and that they want to release a bug-free product. Take your time and make us even happier with a consistent version to work with!.
Thanks again to all of you for the hard work!.

I'll add the link to the inf2tfw converter once the GeoConvert tool releases.
Yes, Part 2/3 of the tutorial will be for adding runways, approach/runway lighting, defining the airports on the map, and access to the IPACS model library.
Excellent!!!. Thanks.

Woooow!!!, is that real or just our best simulator ever???.
Thanks for posting.

The posted tutorial is detailed enough. There are some sections that clearly show as optional, so if you don't want to perform those extra steps then you don't have to. Just follow it from the top and work you way down, you will realize that the entire process if very easy.
I agree, it's not that complicated in any way, the tutorial is very well made. The only thing I'm missing is the link to download the optional inf2tfwConverter.exe file, and of course the geoconvert tool itself, but I can imagine will be uploaded when ready, hopefully soon. I'm anxious to try it.
One more question: Will be included in the tutorial -in simple steps- how to add a runway over a recently created airport photo scenery?. This would help a lot to people like me with no previous experience in using this type of programs.
Thanks for the hard work.

Rodeo did most of the heavy lifting here
Thanks to Rodeo and Jeff for that extense tutorial. Now it's our time to do our homework!.

Hopefully the release of the Geoconvert tool will include a good user manual, covering all those interesting aspects discussed here. Thanks in advance to IPACS.

I vote for a kind of "Early Release" and ulterior updates!.
Thanks, Ed
I may. I just have to confirm legalities first, but so far so good.
I'll be including two airports; Key West International and Marathon International Airports. This scenery will cover a 70nm x 27nm area
Sounds good!.
Thanks, Ed
It's like that in New York as well. I suspect they just don't use real details like that, for whatever reason.
For sure there are proprietary reasons behind it, like AA did some time ago for the repaints using ther colors.

There is an automatic blending technique built into the GeoConvert tool. It's a rather smooth and transitional process. You can even manually add more to it by using alpha layers to further blend the scenery. You could hardly tell where your custom scenery is and that of the default (or DLC) area. I'll post some photos shortly showing this in my Key West scenery.
Are you planning to share your Key West scenery at some point here?.
Thanks in advance.

I'll leave it to Jeff for a detailed explanation, but I believe you'll only be limited by your source...
... and your disks available space!

Very nice looking and functional new forum.

Hi:
Are there any news about the IPACS release of the Geoconvert tool in June?.
Cheers, Ed
Hi Raymond, excellent idea. Your site looks gorgeus and as you said, because AFS2 has not a lot of exposure, I think your idea may help the fs community to know more about this excellent simulator!. Already bookmarked!.
Cheers, Ed
Have to admit that flying today over those new airports and surroundings you have the feeling that you're flying a real thing!. Thanks to IPCAS and ORBX of course for providing this excellent simulator and detailed (and real as possible) sceneries. And this is just the beginning!.

I had the same "thing" when landing at KISP in Long Island, NY today.
Seems it's not particular to any airport, but something more global.

Why not receiving the awaited Q400 to just prepare it for takeoff from Meigs?. Just a wish!
