Hi, nice work.
Will it come with the complete island, or just the airport?.
Thanks for your work.

And this doesn't interfere with their update roll-out plans at all
Yes, I understand. I was asking if by the time the Arrows update is released one can have your GNS updated as well in the core sim. I don't really know how much time it's required to add that line of code into the sim and pushing an update via Steam.
Thanks for your support.

Ok, Jan. It seems you've made a good progress, as I was a bit late. Thanks.
Please look at the GNS picture below, that was the page that was frozen in my experience. The simulator didn't frozen, just the progress of the aircraft in the GNS display (in that exact display or screen). I started noticing it after passing the second waypoint (VBG). I don't exactly remember how many times I hit the screens (to select range, WPT informations, select VOR frequencies, etc.), I hit it many times, as I was experimenting with using the GNS and trying to master it.
Now that a big update is being prepared by JF for the Arrows, could it be possible an update from IPACS to the GNS at the same time?.
If you need some more informations, please feel free to ask.

Again, if you can tell me the exact steps how to get there then I can fix it.
Hi, this was my experience:
1. Load a flightplan in the Navigation menu inside AFS2. My plan was from Santa Barbara Airport to Monterey Airport (CA, USA).
2. Select the screen with the airports and navigation aids display.
3. Select different ranges (in NM) to show.
4. Takeoff normally from Santa Barbara.
5. Select different screens in the GNS.
6. Let it go, and at some point it'll start to freeze (will probably require some patience).

kai503 , please take note for your next update:
For some reason the GNS 530 on the Piper Arrow III-IV freezes in the moving map (the aircraft icon is quiet and doesn't move along the flight plan selected). So far I had no crashes, only freezes.

The GNS 530 on the Piper Arrow III also freezes in the moving map (the aircraft icon is quiet and doesn't move along the flight plan selected). So far I had no crashes, only freezes.

I would love to share it but as you now its my scenery I paid for and I cant share it , or I get into big trouble
Will you finally be sharing the two greek airports you were working with?.
Thanks, Ed

Probably a good third-party developer is interested in engaging in Traffic for AFS2, i.e. car, planes and moving objects in general, to contribute to add realism to the simulator. I don't know if that would require a SDK from IPACS.
Until now, thanks to the localized efforts from Jeff, and we all shall be grateful to him, we have some but still very few animations in AFS2.

I have changed the title and edited the first post to make it easier to find the latest releases. Aerofly Life 1.5 is now available for download
Thanks for the update. Looks interesting.
I have no traffic at ARB (Homestead?), could you please check this airport?.

Ed, use the other runway at Merritt Island for now
Yes, for sure, but when I don't have tail wind...!

Waiting here for the update, including the correction of the sinking aircraft in RWY11 at the Merritt airport. It's really a nice and complete scenery add-on.
Thanks to all. Cheers, Ed

Yes its is iGMapHD.
Thank you for your help Ed.
I will contact the FSWidgets support.
Hopefully you'll find the solution.
Welcome, Ed

Strange. My version of the FSWidgets is named iGMapHD, not GMapHD. Don't know if it'll make any difference.
I've just tried it and it worked here minutes ago. Works also with my iPhone.

Thanks Ed,
No, disabling A/V did not help.
Are you working with an iPad and GMapHD?
Yes. Have you turned ON the option to share data with FSWidgets inside AFS2?.
-
You don't need to touch your main.mcf file at all!.
In case it doesn't work, disable your A/V, as maybe your connection is being blocked.
Good luck.

I bought FsWidget’s GMapHD for my iPad today.
However I do not get it to work. (Simulator Unreachable).
Is there anyone, who operates AFS2 on PC with GMapHD on iPad sucessfully?
Could he send me the part of the main.mcf from where I can see the entries?
The PC demo windows version however is working fine.
Also X-Plane /PC is working fine with the GMapHD on iPad.
So its a miracle for me, why it does not work.
Hi Tom:
Use Windows PowerShell on Windows 10 as administrator, right-clicking the Windows button. Type in "ipconfig /all" at the command prompt. Look down and take note of your IPv4 address. That address should be used in your iPad into the iGMapHD settings together with the port number 58585. This should work. Your iPad should be in the same wi-fi network of your PC running AFS2.
Good luck, Ed

But can not be very long ago, right?

Since yesterday, I think.

If you do not already have it, IPACS has a beautiful "Aerofly FS 2 - USA Colorado-DLC".
Beautiful scenery, high altitude airfields such as Telluride, etc. And all for free!
I highly recommend it to you!
Too late, he has his own version released at SimMarket already!.
