I have not used AeroScenery so far, but looking at all those questions, there's an user manual somewhere?.

CTD's (crash to desktop) with Vulkan apps is often caused by running out of GPU memory. Maybe try lower graphics settings. I actually find medium settings work best for me, esp. with VR. Also helps if your nvidia drivers are up to date. I'm currently using nvidia driver 431.36.
Are you using Vulkan in any other apps like Aerofly FS2 or Doom?
I just flew completely around Norrison Island including touch and goes at all it's airports without any problems. While I don't see a huge improvement with Vulkan it does seem to improve the image quality/clarity a bit, esp. water image quality.
I plan to stick with Vulkan for now and will report back if I get any system stability issues.
Using driver 431.60 here (in both setups). Certainly, if I reduce the graphic settings to medium, I avoid the CTDs, but not sure if with this I'll loose all the visual quality improvements that apparently come out from using Vulkan instead of OpenGL (mainly high quality AA).

Probably in the next version of the Manual, the author could add a small section about its installation. I was also lost at the beginning.

Can someone please point me to the documentation or some examples of how we can now add xref virtual objects to an airport via a TOC file?
The following file (named in my setup as "propriano_ajaccio_vor.TOC") will add a VOR object (vor2 from the xref) near Ajaccio in Corsica (see the coordinates). The rest I think will explain for itself.
<[file][][]
<[cultivation][][]
<[string8][coordinate_system][lonlat]>
<[list_xref][xref_list][]
<[xref][element][0]
<[string8][name][vor2]>
<[vector3_float64][position][8.7746901 41.7705251 0]>
<[float32][direction][360]>

The TSC file "calling" for that object is the following one:
<[file][][]
<[tmsimulator_scenery_place][][]
<[string8][type][object]>
<[string8][sname][VOR object Ajaccio]>
<[string8][lname][VOR object]>
<[string8][icao][VOR AJO]>
<[string8][country][FRA]>
<[string8][coordinate_system][lonlat]>
<[vector2_float64][position][8.7746901 41.7705251]>
<[float64][height][0]>
<[float64][size][5000]>
<[bool][autoheight][true]>
<[list_tmsimulator_scenery_object][objects][]

<[list_tmsimulator_scenery_cultivation][cultivation_files][]
<[tmsimulator_scenery_cultivation][element][0]
<[string8][filename][propriano_ajaccio_vor]>
<[bool][auto_height][true]>
>
<[tmsimulator_scenery_cultivation][element][1]
<[string8][filename][]>
<[bool][auto_height][true]>

As you could see, it's relatively easy.

I must have been a little bored today, lol!
I activated Vilkan (see post #3 above) and it worked great in both VR and non-VR modes. I think it slightly improves the clarity of everything but maybe this is just a placebo effect. I have not noticed any downside to using it so I think I'll stick with it for a while.
For me, it produces CTDs when using it in very populated areas and medium-to-high complexity airports. That happens on my two setups (desktop and gaming laptop). I reverted both back to OpenGL and all is Ok now.

Mykonos Greece that iv been working on today still a few things to do.
Very nice couple of airports. Thanks.
BTW, next time don't forget to use your thrust reversers!.

It looks nice!.
Hopefully it'll be released soon!.

The cost of either is less than a good night out. Get both.
I second that. You should get both (also to support the developers, for they to continue doing aircraft for AFS2).

Really a good effort. Very well done!. Thanks to all in the team.
Just one minor thing I noticed during my first flight tonight (here in Florida): please check aircraft positioning at RWY11 at Merritt Airport (the aircraft crash continuously).
Keep up the good work!.

Hi Ed,
Strange..
The door works basically like the one of the C 172, so you have first to unlock both latches, then grab the armrest (left click with the mouse and hold) and then drag the mouse to open the door.
The sunvisor you can move with the mousewheel or by left-click and dragging.
Did you try it like this?
Door (copilot) still doesn't work for me. Strange. Is there any special condition to be met for the aircraft to open the door?.
Sun visors are Ok now (left-clickling and dragging).

Will try that way. Really didn't have the time to do in different ways so far.
Thanks, Ed

Hello, I still have flikering with GCTS2, do you observe the same? Etienne
You have to get rid of one of the two existing runways. You should edit (using Notepad, for example) the airport's TSC file and put two back-slashes in front of the lines with the runway you want to eliminate, to avoid AFS2 to draw that runway, thus avoiding the flickering.
The other options would be to ask the original author to edit the airport in FSCloudPort, or asking him to add you as contributor to do the job.

I have the same problem with GCLP
If you zoom-in close enough in fscloudport, you'll find different versions of the original files, with the suffix 2 after the ICAOs. These new versions in general add more buildings or static aircraft than the originals and avoid the flickering of the runways, caused by two runways being drawn by AFS2 at the same time. Regretfully, to avoid the runway flickering, you have to forget about one of the two runways and stay with just one runway.
[UPDATE]: There is a version of GCLP available at Flightsim-org, converted from FSX-freeware, thanks to brunnobellic
