From ORBX :
I know many people are waiting for TrueEarth GB for AFS2, so here are some very early alpha preview shots to let you know it's making progress and we hope to have GB South available in the first half of this year (but don't hold me to it, since it's a new team of developers)
Anyone have news about TrueEarth Netherlands 1.10 update from Steam?
ORBX, well Nick (moderator) was not really clear about that, he kind of said to deal with Steam???
Hello guys and the team, after spending a lot of time on P3D V 4.4 and on ORBX TE GB South I came back to AF2 with the new upgrade of the Netherland.
Fabulous place fabulous sim... but
What I really miss a bit is a better weather engine, at least some better cloud. Funny that I can live with some little other flaws that other sim have but weather would be awesome
Thanks, Ben
2 or 3 go as I remember
Many thanks, it's not something I can download from home
This is a fairly substantial update. Took a while to download.
Ray
How big was it?
Thanks
IT's not clear about how to download, I just see a bunch of file but no ZIP one?
Show some love if you want new stuff....
And go show some love on this ORBX thread, , there is hope.
JV words:
----The team has been formed (UK) and they have begun preliminary work.------
Hi guys,
There is a tool in P3D to see, before we choose an hour, something call time-lap or time preview (sorry I'm not on my simulator).
This I think is something you could add pretty easily. Or at least a dawn, day, night... choice.
Cheers, Ben
My friend read your post... and he said let it go Ben....
I have over 2000 hours of flight time... Rogers who is the pilot of the Q400 as close to 15,000 hours.
So think what you want...
Ben
Ok, I got it right... So a little one on Saanen (freeware from ORBX-Sylvain)
By flare I mean keeping the nose up longer to bleed some speed and for smoother landing, a perfect landing is a controlled stall (GA plane not Airliner)
When I did my PPL I had a great instructor, it's been years but we always kept in touch. I gave him a call, to my surprise and for family reason he is bask flying the Q400 for Air Canada (he was on a A320-200), so I ask him a few questions on landing the Q400 and explained how our simulator behave VS the real thing. Since he is a bit far away we decided to watch together a few Youtube video of some cockpit view landing.
So I did a few landing and filmed everything and showed him.
First he was amazed by the realism of the simulator, he didn't know that public Simulator where so realistic.
First the rudder (yaw) trimming, that a true as hell but mostly on power variation, not much where you set for landing. He saw that on landing I was playing constantly with the yaw trim and he told me, well stop that and fly the plane meaning use the rudder if needed.
Flap at landing, IPACS is right, not fully extracted unless you are doing a STOL landing and also it's depending n the wind.
Flaring, about none with a Q400, I said why? He replied it want to fly at all cost, we even have to push it down and sometime keep some elevator down wile braking (see the video bellow) , I laugh when he said simply, it's a high wing thing
Power at landing (if the slope is good), about 15% and you may go up to 30-35% (see last video) before-at flaring... or NOT.
He said to conclude, it's a more sensitive plane in general....
Ben
ps. I will put mine online later, maybe some other could do so, that could be fun.
Switzerland.... is magical, to be honest I have never spent much time there, but I did yesterday, including Sylvain cultivation and Saanen
Switzerland Ipacs is the most realistic and amazing scenery out there... period. Not even ORBX TE look as good.
My only wish would be that the gap between Innsbruck and Switzerland be filled.
Ben
Hi Jeff and thanks, a lot!!!!! The Nvidia reset did nothing but the rest of your instruction solve the problem....
Do you have an idea why?
Have a good day
Ben
Ok, I was not set at ultra but it didn't change nothing anyway
Here is my TM log
Ben
Also, if you do have the correct GPU drivers running and installed, make sure that all settings in your NVidia control panel are set to default settings.
Well, I have the latest driver, I also reverted to one that was working but it' not working now
I don'T know where to set them to default
Thanks
This way? But not shure how?
Thanks Jeff, could anyone please tell me where to find the -- tm log---?
