It takes a while - i.e. Anchorage recently became 7L and R but it had to shift from 055 to 065. Takes 80+ years to do this.

You're preaching to the choir here. We're like a nest full of little birdlings waiting for the next meal.

I stumbled onto an easy method of using the Views icons to expand the downward or Top Down views and to actually want to just go to scenic locations to 'Look Around' without even flying. As an example.
Would love to have you reveal any, stumbled on or otherwise, improvements to the views/cameras setup.

Very pleasantly similar to the sim itself.

Robin does fantastic 'photoreal' scenery for New Zealand. I purchased his Godzone subscription series for FSX and am down as a donor for this new venture.

For those interested in spreading the word, there's a new forum poll for Aerofly at Sim Outhouse. Under "Forums" click on "Ickie's newshawks" then "Normal threads" and let them know. By the way this new format is very eye friendly for this old fart.

The outside aircraft developers will be along - as soon as return on investment will satisfy their needs. Remember how standoffish a lot of them were about P3D. Orbx already has pretty much of a lock on scenery but the big airport guys will be along too - as soon as it's worth their while.

About a month ago I laughingly queried 'Chase Plane' about getting involved with Aerofly - no response yet. They have indicated a possibility with FSW so l imagine they're limited to FSX derivative engines.

If you're talking about the little fan shaped views icon (lower right on my screen), only three of these allow any movement.

Downloaded through FTXCentral, got my 40% (previous purchase) discount - smooth as silk and it looks right at home.

A few miles east of Yosemite Park - longer swaths and closer to the hills.

Since this scenery extends up into northern California, decided to take a look at Yosemite Park. Very little resolution and where the village and 'Half Dome' are located is a large lake. Steam says that the "High resolution texture pack' for that area is installed so what am I not doing?
Update. I'm so ashamed - flew into the wrong area. After I found myself and the park, it all looked more recognizable - not overly resolute but OK. -
Noticed the thread disappeared on Orbx - hope I didn't accelerate its departure 'cause it's a great video.

Having trouble getting my X52 joystick to take other than flight inputs. It doesn't seem to like much from VIEWS, SIMULATOR or GAME CONTROL. If someone has a laundry list for the X52, I'd appreciate seeing it. If it would help, I also have a Logitech F300 gamepad.
