I installed world airfields from github.
The readme says:
So don't blame Krzysk if you ignore his recommendations.

OK, I just done a new topic.
I think you were right!
Cultivation with elevation mesh including airports and City Highlights
The scenery contains 1.6 million buildings and shows the complex possibilities of the new scenproc scripts.
By team TomSimMuc, Gasy24 and Rodeo.
Please head over to https://flight-sim.org/filebase/index…ation-megacity/
for a FREE download.
The development continues to version 2.0 soon
I can't find anything about this freeware scenery on this forum
You might want to have a look to the Gallery.
The steep crests with its shadows look soo real!
Thank you for your project!
LGSM is not showing.
Yes Ed, I have the same problem.
The solution is to add this missing ">" here (in lgsm.tsc):
I don't have any smaller ones that you would find in bigger city neighborhoods.
Can you send a picture with height information of what you need?
Maybe I can do one.
Yes, of cause. You can directly use my TOC code example section with your coordinates.
Chris,
please try to use as many xref objects a possible (instead of regular 3D models).
You probably know, that you can use ANY object which is within the xref_... catalogs (just ommit _virtual from the naming).
i.e. xref_usa_airport
example in ObjectGen:
<!-- VOR-->
<nodeConfiguration>
<selectionCondition expression=" ($man_made == 'vor')"/>
<defaultModel>
<staticModel name=""/>
</defaultModel>
<modelMap>
<xrefMapEntry expression="($man_made == 'vor')" name="vor2"/>
</modelMap>
</nodeConfiguration>
resulting in the TOC as
what is special about these few tanks
Someone made a starting point and hoped others would continue with the rest of the tanks ..........
I like especially the pool with real! water.
Also the solar panels with reflections must be mentioned.
PS: You might lift your parked cars by a meter to keep them dry..
<[tmsimulator_scenery_object][element][0]
<[string8][type][object]>
<[string8][geometry][SMI_PLC_Vehicles_Dense]>
<[vector3_float64][position][26.914807 37.690981 0.7]>
<[float64][orientation][0]>
<[int32][autoheight_override][-1]>

but the area has more and better shaped buildings for sure.
Hi Ray,
the OSM community is still looking for volunteers like you, who are drawing and publish more tanks.
Scenproc can only show, what is there, and this is not much in this area
Especially the smooth curves and the semi reflecting carbon parts are extremely impressive!
The same happened to me 2 days ago. Google loaded about 10 times faster.
Is there any relationship to the FS2020 streaming, which is coming up?
Will have to see what impact other 3d models have on performance.
It turned out, that xref models have extremly less impact to the performance then other models.
I estimate factor 10 less.
look for trees within a set distance of any road
Maybe you can make this depending from the type of road. (Similar to the lights generation at the roads).
The higher the class, the wider the no-trees area.
Hi Luca,
Please find the converted model from the 3D Warehouse by dbortola, https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model/eb2a5c78…nna-di-San-Luca attached. I flipped some inverted faces.
It was converted by ModelConverterX and its elevation lowered by -6m in the TSC.
It blends fine on a 20m elevation mesh.
Tell me, if you need that mesh (only Bologna area).
That's very nice to hear.
Thank you Chris!
