the picture shows how i would create more than one runway. Each color is one seperate geometrie as you can see in the name list. The green runway and the blue taxiway each contains three pieces.

is it possible to give a runway texture an alpha value. Do i need a seperate alpha texture?

As you can see on the picture i want to blend the sandy side a little bit more with the scenery texture.

I tried a tiff texture with alpha inside but it did not work.

i followes the example witch is descriped in the USGS tutorial and in the readme.txt of the geoconvert SDK with xxx.aid files.

When i download the xx.jp2 files from USGS there is no xx.ini file. So i downloaded the xx.xml files.

I can start the batch and it will finish green, but i can not find the converted files in the scenery/images folder.

you can find my tm.log and a example for one xx. aid file here.

do i need a xxx.aid and xxx.tmc file for every image or a xxx.aid file for every image and a xxx.tmc file for the area i want to convert?

thanks for your kind words. I watched all your videos and just asking myselft how i can add a second texture layer to an objekt in AC3D.

Or would it be easier to add a Dirt Decal for some variation on the asphalt or concrete of the runway and taxiways.

And can i do something similar to Vertex Coloring in 3DS for an fade into alpha like suggested in the 3DS tutorial?

And i will try to the USGS way. But thats one of the next steps to learn.

But there is only a airport tutorial for 3DS but i use AC3D. Of course i downloaded the file for the AC3D tutorial. But there is no description about texture layers.

No cultivation at the moment. That will be the next step and maybe a small self build object.

How can i upload this?

Can i add a second texture to an object to get some variation in the basic concrete texture? Or need i to add a decal to do this?

Can i create a better scenery texture for this area? And would it be legal to integrate it to the download?

Just read on Simflight that Aerosoft will release a new version of Helgoland Duene for FSX... But there will be also a Version for FS2.

I guess we need a German Scenery next Maybe there will come more german Scenerys from Aerosoft.

Hi, i like to do some basic scenery work. I read the scenery tutorial and just wondering how i can do the vertex coloring in AC3D.

Hawaii is my favourite destination for virtual flying outside of Europe. It would be a great scenery to discover and doing some island hopping.

Like the first post i fly most of the time VFR. Flying with computers is boring to me. I love those steam gauges.

I would love to see a UL like the Eurostar EV97 from Evektor and in my case a scenery of Germany.

For the future i hope more third party developer will do some stuff for FS2. FSX and X-Plane are only usable with a tons of addons. Freeware and Payware.

Considering that i am very pleased with FS2 and thanks IPACS for their work.
