how did you get to play the game on the Quest, I see the Quest storage capacity is 128GB, i checked my AFS2 folder and it is saying 145GB.
wow this is really a game changer !
hi mygeoposition is out of order where to get the co ordinates from now?
Once you know which scenery area that you wish to add to Aerofly FS2, visit the site: http://en.mygeoposition.com/
look forward to Christmas !
can't believe the year has gone so quick and Christmas is nearly here !
good to see some others are also coming to market with their VR hardware
thanks Jan! will get it another go, I will post a screenshot if I see that 108 kts on the FMC again.
You all have done a fantastic job on the Airbus, so much easier to operate than the boeing 737/747 from a procedures point of view.
ok after being a boeing driver for 20 years i am giving the airbus a320 a go as it is got a good FMC at this point with Aerofly FS2, I am getting confused with my landing as on the landing page it is telling me the approach speed is at 108 kts i know this seems very low and when doing the flight the plane is automatically kicking in the throttle to not stall the plane around 160 kts (seems more reasonable) i have tried dialing in the speed to around 160 kts as pilot intervention and clicked on the a/thr button but this does not seem to do anything,
so can someone please help me with the correct process of maintain appropriate airspeed on the final approach in the A320 as leaving into the the autopilot makes the ac stall and me intervening does not seem to do anything,
amazing plane by the way it is so many less procedures than the boeing 737 or 747.
i really think the AFS2 team have done a pretty good job with the touch controllers for VR hands, I can now control the whole flight sim without using my joystick or mouse, disabling the autopilot and using the virtual yoke in AFS2 on the approach (like the real thing) is a really amazing experience and it is amazing to finally use the yoke in the plane to control the aircraft just as it is done in real life, this is the first time i can do this with nearly 20 years of flying flightsims (since the FS98 days).
Yes we really need other features to be implemented 1, ATC and then weather AI etc.
100% agree, if this isn't the future, I don't know what is !
ok I know VR hands came out earlier this year and I dismissed it pretty much from the release but I gave it a go again today with the Learjet and I am very very impressed, It take some time getting used to but i can see this as the future, also some tips, make sure your sensors are able to beam below your desk because that is where your yoke, fmc etc is located in the flight deck and make sure to just keep practicing because ti does take some time to get used to it.
There are some knobs still abit hard to turn like the FO course knob in the learjet however i think it is more on my part to keep practicing and practicing and getting used to the VR hands !
Does one have to tune in the ils freq for the destination airport manually when flying the learjet? i notice i have to do this and i do it before departure from the origin airport. This is when i plan a flight within the aerofly menu (arrival / departure AP).
Also if I quit AFS2 enroute and then boot up AFS2 later i notice i have lost my ils frequencies i entered and have to reenter the frequencies and the correct course of the destination runway again, will this be fixed in a future update?
yeah thanks Ken, I do not do much night flights anyways.
are the night lights fuzzy in VR?
I definitely think IPACs have done an amazing job with this default 747, hopefully down the track we get a working FMS etc, this is my favorite commercial aircraft to fly in AFS2. Hopefully they come out with a 737800.
found this on youtube, for all the tubeliner pilots out there
same feeling i got when i got my rift 2 years ago, nothing comes close just like being "in" the flightdeck.
ok i rechecked, yes you were right, i had installed it in the wrong folder, all showing up now
thanks !!!
thanks Chris
I do get very generic buildings like the FSX variety at their generic airports
I will investigate further tomorrow.
