Im still here and have no interest whatsoever with MSFS. I have switched from FS4 back to FS2 as I enjoy not only making the scenery also building the cultivation and special objects.

Excellent work and yes please!

I’d love a crystal ball to see just how this FS4 will look in three or four years. Microsoft showed where they were going years in advance of their launch and It didn’t seem to do them any harm.

You have been so inundated with replies I apologize for my late reply.
Having used both fs 2 and fs 4 I have returned to my faithful fs 2 the main reason being I can make my own scenery with cultivation and special objects.
Having limited computer specifications fs 2 runs very smoothly although I was surprised that fs 4 ran OK and then recently vulkan stopped working and I do not know why.
For the time being I'm more than happy sticking with fs 2 and enjoy using the various tools available to enhance my flying experiences.
I look forward to sharing more of my work to the community.
Kindest regards, Michael.

Thank you Jan for your fast response, already checked that and my Win 10 is definitely using the latest NVIDIA driver. Kindest regards Michael.

My FS 4 Beta suddenly stopped working in Vulkan mode so I have now switched back to FS 4 version 4.03.01.10 and the problem is still there, I have the latest driver for my GTX 960 GPU.
Any one else out there with similar problems?

Ok, so all I have installed in my Scenery folder now is IPACS included USA scenery, IPACS Switzerland scenery and your Isle of Wight scenery. The folder structure looks like this:
...\scenery\images\ch--------------------------\gb\map_(xxx)
-------------------------------\map_(xxx)
-------------------------------\(etc)---------------------------\usa
Pressing 'Start' on the main menu results in the sim starting pretty much instantly (1-1.5 secs).
If I now add just the 'trees' folder to 'places' like this:
...\scenery\places\cultivation\trees
and run the sim again, it takes 2m 47s to load until actually flying.
As a comparison, if I remove the 'trees' folder and add the 'buidings' (SIC) and 'night lights' folders only, the sim loads in 2.98s
So, it looks like something is amiss somewhere, but obviously I appreciate it's difficult to diagnose without having my actual hardware in front of you.Not to worry, thanks for trying
Now I understand the mistake you made with my scenery folders. THANK YOU to TomSimMuc for explaining the correct way to install any add-on scenery.

Sorry Im unable to sort this for you, as a last ditch attempt can I suggest disable all UK scenery leaving ONLY the Isle of Wight and test again.
-
Did you do this as per the download information on flight-sim.org
IMPORTANT: In my old UK scenery find South East England Part 2 and disable map_09_7f00_aa80 and in South England disable map_09_7e80_aa80 also disable Isle of Wight.
