Hello Nick - in lj45.tmd, starting at line 500 there are descriptions for the fuel tanks.

//fuel center shows the Fuselage Fuel Tank has a Mass Full of 1228.3 and a Fill Level of 0.0

//fuel left shows the Left Fuel Tank has a Mass Full of 761.12 and a Fill Level of 0.8

//fuel right shows the same numbers as fuel left.

I would try changing the Fill Level of the Fuselage Tank to 0.8 as well. ***IGNORE THIS - Didn't change indicated Fuel on Board***

    Hope this helps

Hello Nick - Thanks to your Aeroscenery tool, I have been happily making scenery for NZ using the 1.1.3 beta version. Unfortunately, the Linz Data Service is being de-commissioned and will be replaced by the LINZ Basemaps Service. This is from the email LINZ sent me:

    "What you need to do

Explore the LINZ Aerial Imagery Basemap, open the menu and open the WMTS or XYZ tile URL (your 90-day API key is included in the URL) or follow the Contact Us link to request an unlimited Developer API key.

Then create a new connection or replace the LDS tile services URL in your software using the LINZ Basemaps tile services WMTS or XYZ URL. For more details, see the specifications of the LINZ Basemaps service.

Tip: Make sure you replace the entire tile services URL, including the embedded API key. LDS and the LINZ Basemaps service are managed separately, meaning you cannot use your LDS API key in LINZ Basemaps APIs or vice versa."

So I had a look under the bonnet but my coding skills date from the last century, and I couldn't get a result. Could you please, when you have some time from your paying job, add the new service to your Aeroscenery ?

Thanks in advance for any help/advice you can give.

I discovered by accident that I can drag a URL from my browser (PaleMoon) into my download manager (Free Download Manager) , then pause the FDM, close the browser and tell FDM to resume. This gave much better d/l speeds ( up to 5.5 MB/s ) than anything I saw with the browser also running, or just d/loading via the browser alone.

    Hope this helps someone. `

When Ray had said to type "Shift" + "1", to operate the panel, this was certainly intended for a US keyboard, :/

because for me it does not work either?

If anyone finds the ideal solution, that would be a great service thank you!;)

Hello Pascal - According to this website, http://kbd-intl.narod.ru/english/layouts Shift+1 on almost every keyboard produces !

On a French keyboard, to get that symbol, you use the key next to the right-hand side Shift key, without using a Shift key.

    Vive la difference! :D

    Hope this helps,

    Mike

Yes, but there are some glorious things to be seen in real life, crossing the Tropics en route from Brisbane to Dubai at night. I'd like to see those distant storms in a sim. I don't want to fly through one, because the wings will fall off =O:D

You could also buy FSUIPC, which lets you set up levels of turbulence, and things like Active Sky and REX for scary clouds and effects, or even realwxlite for just the weather. Trouble was, they made heavy demands on the GPU and not many cards could handle that at the time, so FPS went through the floor.

I remember some guys who simulated the NOAA hurricane research flight in Connies, and there might still be some of their videos around

Also, you need a full-motion platform to get the real feel, otherwise you just sit in front of the screen with an uncontrollable plane.

Thanks Jan, I will follow your advice - in those early days, there was a lot of community stuff but hardly anyone was providing a readme and those few developers who did were giving giving different advice. So I had to assess the quality of the developer, and make a best guess as to where things should be. That has worked up until now.

The ORBX stuff I installed created a folder called 'Aerofly FS 2 Flight Simulator AddOns. I will copy the missing DLCs into there

Copied the missing places from the backup and put them with the ORBX stuff. Didn't work.

    Moved the folders to Documents/AeroflyFS2/addons/scenery/usa/places/

That gave me back all the starting locations, but the New York Autogen does not appear. Florida and Colorado seem OK.

Thankyou. Downloaded in 7mins, but 546GB to back up before I install. :whistling:

So far, so good. All my NZ WIP is safe, I have the EC135. Checked out Boston Logan and saw no texture probs with the crossed runways (?or is this just a FSCloudport thing?)

However, moving on from Boston I found a lot of IPACS DLC was missing. Fortunately I have it all in a backup. Will I be able to just copy the missing folders from the backup, into the same place, or do I need to modify something else?

    Thanks
