Is there a demo video available as cannot find anything on YouTube?
He has 3 demo videos linked on his website's home page - the demo link is on the lower part of the page.

I suppose it would be possible to essentially memorize response choices for each phase of flight thus not needing the menus.
Exactly - program a rocker switch on the HOTAS. I'd prefer not to see any additional info displayed in the VR view anyway
Karl, will using ATC while in VR crash FS2 or is it just that no ATC-related info will be displayed in VR?
Here's the YouTube demo video posted in the other thread ... YouTube link to demo flight video - it has some "automated" sound to it but there are different voices and there are voice inflections to give it some variety. Probably better than your old version.
Gear down ... 00' d '00
So in truth or may or may not happen then?
Sorta of like an ATC go-around possibility
but I still cannot figure it out
I've noticed 2 possible things that help FS2 performance:
1) only cultivation within a ~6km radius of your aircraft is rendered
2) the lighting/shadow engine only processes from a single point of light (sun or moon) - this is why street lights and landing lights don't illuminate the ground nearby
possible by linking two computers
Jeff, he was also thinking more than 1 PC ... maybe if/when multi-player enters the picture, co-pilot would then be possible.
Tonight, the Ohio State University Marching Band (well-known for its halftime show animations) preformed a tribute to the 50th anniversary of the Apollo Space program (Neil Armstrong was born in Ohio) ...
+1 for lots of room lighting.
Jake, that's my favorite MI opening scene ... THAT'S THE WRONG DOOR!!!
That won't be a problem, variation is what's important - when I first lighted a bunch of radio towers and they all flashed together, it was very unrealistic and very annoying.
What VR headset and graphics card are you using? You may have a driver issue if you haven't updated your graphics driver in awhile.
Last year I had the same kind of miniature problem with a different flight sim IL-2 but it was due to their code not working well with WMR headsets (Samsung Odyssey, etc). They have since fixed the problem.
The VR view should "feel" like you are sitting in your car - otherwise something isn't configured correctly.
Jake posted some towers on flight-sim.org last year and I included them in my South Florida TL Add-on and towerProcTL tool ...

A few challenges I ran into when using the OSM data for radio towers:
1) multiple radio stations on the same tower result in 2 OSM entries with the same lat/lon - this can be due to the station broadcasting on both AM & FM or ownership has changed over the years so you could have 3 entries for 3 different owners for the same tower (= TOC tower might not show/flicker, or multiple 3D tower objects)
2) OSM data is stale so a tower entry exists but the tower was removed or was wiped out by a hurricane
3) there's no height data for the OSM towers, you can guess based on some of the tower description attributes (-AM taller than -FM but some don't have this detail) random is risky because some short towers are near airports so creating a random tall one looks out-of-place. When I manually place them I use vfrmap.com to get the location and height of current towers.
4) tower lighting is also height dependent (short towers = steady red, tall = flashing once every 2 sec) and you don't want all the lights flashing in sync (only close towers should flash together)
