Dornier 27 should work nicely for STOL single engine.
Regards,
Ray
It will work somehow, but the non-turbocharged piston engine will have a hard time up there...

Hi,
Sascha has recently posted a map with coverage and airports on the Aerosoft-forum:
https://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/top…ncement/&page=4
Apparently the scenery also moved into beta now...
This will be so amazing, especially in VR (I will have to get VR soon)!
(Only I am still missing a Twin Otter, Porter, Do228 or similar. So the King Air will have to do the Job)

Martin
Although I think the Cub is great, I'm not voting for it, because I think we need a more powerful bush plane with a turbine engine (no, I'm not talking about "Draco" here) to fly in the hopefully soon to be released Lukla scenery.
That aircraft is of course the Pilatus PC-6 Turbo Porter . As a plus, it doesn't need to be yellow .

Krzysztof, can you please convert that Hogwarts Scenery to AFS2? I need this... because of reasons

This is already my favourite aircraft!
Votex ring state indeed has to be considered when descending vertically or almost vertically, but I think your problem is about more basic helicopter physics. You need to know that a helicopter needs a lot more power in hover than in forward flight. So generally speaking, if you decrease speed, you need to increase power (at least at low speeds)!
Here it is quite well explained, also with a power-to-airspeed diagram: https://www.rotorandwing.com/2017/10/10/und…power-struggle/
Tricky thing is, once you approach the ground, ground effect also plays a roll. While you need a lot of power to hover out of ground effect, your power needed in ground effect is a lot less.

Yes, I realised that now... I didn't think it was so smart and tried to somehow use the Youtube HTML Code.
Thank you Jeff & Jan!

...is obviously Aerofly FS 2!

Sorry for the silly question, but how do I embedd Youtube-videos in this forum? Just pasting the code didn't work out

The G109 is not the motorglider I would choose (obviously), but nonetheless, this looks really cool!

Scenery: Germany
Aircraft: Fournier RF5 or RF4 (There is no TMG yet!)

1. Awesome aircraft! I mainly fly the Jungmeister, the Extra and the Pitts and I love them all. So good looking and flight dynamics are very well modelled, too.
2. Scenery: I love to fly over Switzerland (will be good to have the cultivation freeware here, though) and TE Netherlands is absolutely stunning. Once there is Germany in this quality and I have VR, I can probably forfait my real world license
3. Performance: No explanation needed I think...
4. No tweaking, improving this, messing up that, like in other flightsims. It just works!

Martin
That's because in Germany radio communication is protected by law and it is illegal to make it public. Even as a pilot with a valid radio telephony certificate from the "Bundesnetzagentur" it's technically illegal to listen to ATC when it's not necessary for a flight...
