Logged into flight-sim dot org I can download the pdf file but when I try to download the larger zip files I get the message that You have reached your monthly traffic limit and this just sends me back to the previous page. I have tried signing out then in again but this does not seem to help. I also tried clearing my cache but this did not help either. I have an unlimited internet plan so I don't think that the problem is at my end. I downloaded some large files from Steam earlier no problem. Too bad, I've really been looking forward to this. ;(

Sorry to hear, I have no control over this. My advice, quit downloading everything ;):P

I might be late to the party, but this was extremely interesting to see!

First, I would like to say that I installed the amazing Hawaii scenery, I did what the documentation stated, copying the folders in C:\Users\...\Documents\Aerofly FS 2\addons\scenery, and that works flawlessly.

Great to specifically hear this, we tried to make our Hawaii project as easy to install as possible.

In regards to other freeware. They consist of either using the places folder or the images folder individually. Meaning it requires two separate folder locations.

However, when I try to install other freeware, it does not work. For example I tried to install l'île d'yeu. The documentation says: "Simply unzip the file and put the LFEY folder where you usually put your airport sceneries. Note it is a 'one folder package' "

For this specific freeware, simply add it to the places folder. There are no images in this download.

Make sure you take 'LFEY' folder out of the parent folder and delete 'Yeu_ island_LFEY_airport_and_cultivation'

The scenery already loads fast enough, and the reason Oahu takes longer is because there is a lot of content in there.

Yes a few things could be restructured and organized.

We have everything in the addon folder for a reason, to make it as easy for everyone to install.

What's the point of the 'addon' folder if you are just going to take things out and move them to different folders?

Question: Why can't I enter PHNL in a flight plan?

My best guess would be that it's not in the IPAC's database.

This is probably due to the wrong naming convention given to the ICAO

Incorrect name given to ICAO. Should be only 'PHNL'

    Edit: Possible fix?

    Aerofly FS 2 Flight Simulator\addons\scenery\US_HI_oahu\places\airports\phnl_runways

    • Go to this folder and then edit TSC file 'phnl1'
    • Change and edit line 11, the highlighted Yellow entry to 'PHNL'

Error shows up in the TM.log

Video Example: Applying the brakes four times.

I forgot there were two versions. I am referring to the Just Flight version.

TMD is original as I'm very aware of making backups before editing and making sure to only make minor adjustments at a time.

Any chance you can replicate this Jan?

I can continue to tinker around with a few lines I haven't tested yet. I just initially wanted to know if anyone else experienced this.

Funny how the more and more I fly with this aircraft, that I finally realized this issue.

Does anyone else experience brakes semi locking up and skidding with only this aircraft?

I cannot replicate this on any other aircraft.

My only work around is to disable the skid.tsb file to eliminate the horrible squeal sound.

I've tested multiple TMD adjustments to try and solve this issue but no success.

I'm hoping that once I'm granted access to cloud port I will try my hand at building a few of those.

Phil aka Spit40 is probably super busy with his https://authentikit.org/ project. Hopefully you get access soon, as FSCloudPort is a nice easy tool to use.

Hello Tom, cultivation can be a fun hobby, yet it can be very tedious at times. As far as quality control/checks, if you are only running autogen buildings and lights, then there isn't much double checking other than to check and see if you are running the new IPAC Content Converter that automatically takes your data and compiles it into level 10 side grids. This drastically helps improve performance. For example, my New York City Lights addon from 2018 does not actually run with this format. However it still runs fine, as Aerofly is a very powerful engine.

So typically when you take all of your OSM data and run the IPACs script through scenProc, it compiles all of the raw data into a TOC file. Which then can be opened and inspected. However, if you run those source TOC files through the IPACs content converter, it will then compress and optimize your large TOC files into significantly smaller TOC files, however, they will be encrypted and cannot be further edited. I've had TOC files from 300mb optimized down to 12mb give or take. This really helps when reducing upload sizes to Flight-Sim.org
