My MacBookPro (16", 2021) runs FS4 in both versions (original and beta) via STEAM.

I also like to use FS(1) from time to time because it has both a motor glider and winch launch 😁 - both of which I miss in the newer versions.🥺

The current beta version also has the masts in the final approach of EKAH 10R and 28L.

Thank you Thomas for this overview.

I don't know if it helps that I don't have the problem on my Mac. (STEAM beta 4.00.03.05)

I have a problem with the Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant Airbus Edition on FS4 on my Mac when I assign THROTTLE and THRUST REVERSE in both "Controls/General/Airplane" and "Controls/Multi engine" at the same time, which in my experience is necessary:
- for flying with single engine airplanes I need the assignment of THROTTLE and THRUST REVERSE in "Controls/General/Airplane"
- for flying multi-engine airplanes I need the assignment of THROTTLE and THRUST REVERSE in "Controls/Multi engine"
I explain the problem using the Q400 as an example. For the other multi-engine aircraft P38, Baron58, KingAir as well as F15E, F/A18C, LJ45, CRJ900LR, B737-500, B777-300ER, B787-10, B7474-400, A320 and A380 it is comparable (for each aircraft I have a detailed table).
The following table shows how THROTTLE 2 behaves in FS4 in the five possible positions, depending on which position THROTTLE 1 is in. I know that there are also cases in there which are not used so rather, but THROTTLE 2 must be generally independent of THROTTLE 1.
Problems only occur, if THROTTLE 1
-- firstly is assigned in "Controls/General/Airplane" as throttle as well as in "Controls/Multi engine" as throttle 1 is
and
-- secondly, is in the Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant Airbus Edition in the positions "[3] -- FLIGHT IDLE", "[4]" or "[5] -- RATING".

Bei mir gibts den Airport nicht
In addition to the saved designed airfields (see button "Location"), FS4 also has a simulator-internal database of many ICAO airfields worldwide, which can also be flown to as destinations using the navigation function (see button "Navigation") - only they cannot be used as starting points.
I collect some of these airfields for myself by creating an ICAO folder in my user folder for each of these airfields, each with an ICAO.tsc and ICAO.wad file (see also Activate the ICAO airfields already stored in the FS4 database).
An important note on this:
I know that IPACS does not like this, at least officially. I think this is primarily because it cannot be ruled out that this could lead to disruptions. So far, I have not experienced any disruptions and if I did, I would always remove the folders I created in my user area.

-- /Users/username/Library/Application Support/Aerofly FS 4/addons/scenery/region/images
oder
-- /Users/username/Library/Application Support/Aerofly FS 4/scenery/images/region
liegen.
--------------------
I have no problems on the Mac with user image files, regardless of whether they are stored in
-- /Users/username/Library/Application Support/Aerofly FS 4/addons/scenery/region/images
or
-- /Users/username/Library/Application Support/Aerofly FS 4/scenery/images/region.

I have not encountered any problems on my Mac in the updated beta version (4.00.03.05 (20220928)) so far with the image files from ORBX-Netherlands.

-
There is no data for VHHX (Kai Tak Airport) in FS4.
For FS2 there is a beta version in Flight-Sim.org (https://flight-sim.org/filebase/index…ta-for-testing/), which can then be adapted to FS4 with the conversion SDK still to be delivered by IPACS. However, suitable images must then also be imported, because the ones I know now only show construction sites at the former location.

Thank you for the explanation. I suggest to include the described basic principle in the wiki.
I consider very important the hint to refrain from modified ICAO codes (e.g. PHNL1, PHNL2 etc.) . Unfortunately, in fscloudport.com it often happens with airfields in interesting areas that different people do not edit the same airfield together, but each creates his own and then designates it with the ICAO code plus a sequential number.
