Perhaps an expert in elevation mesh can help better map the topography of Hong Kong.

And last but not least, I uploaded 1 airport and 26 heliports for Hong Kong:
-
I have also uploaded a new version of Hong Kong-AddOn:
The EDITION 2024-01-09 unfortunately led to many error entries in the tm.log file. The revised EDITION 2024-01-09 only has 2 errors caused by the building "city_intl_trade_exhibition_centre"; the 3D container ships in the harbor were left out and the harbor cranes were converted to XREF (and their number was almost doubled).

I have uploaded a new version of VHHH(ex) KAI TAK INTL AIRPORT:
This contains the tower beacon light as well as the approach lighting of the RW13 located in the curve.
-
-
This also works for me on the iPad:
-
...
-Cold and dark positions possible at any ground location
...
By "any ground location" do you mean every parking position from the list?

In my opinion, the ACT beta does not yet have some elements integrated and these have to be integrated manually. For me these include:
- tower view
- lights
- carlotsThis is how I currently do it for lights:
- I use a line type that I don't otherwise use as an auxiliary line
- where I need the position data, I set the handles of this auxiliary line
- then I export the TAP file
- now I add the light elements and take the position information from the auxiliary line
- I then convert this tap dateThings are going quite quickly now. I just have to make sure that if there are changes in the ACT, I integrate my manual additions back into the TAP file exported from ACT.
I realize that I should finally take a break from creating airfields and write some instructions. My improvement list is also still waiting.

Ich habe mit Aerofly FS 4 Version 4.03.03.04 (20240105) keinen Absturz auf dem Mac.
-
The reason is relatively simple:
In the original, VHHH KAI TAK INTL AIRPORT was decommissioned in 1998 and VHHH CHEK LAP KOK AIRPORT was put into operation instead.
In the simulation, IPACS therefore also saved the correct data from today under VHHH.In contrast to reality, IPACS would now have to record the data from KAI TAK AIRPORT under a different ICAO code such as VHHX. The highlight would be if the IGS were programmed for RW13 instead of ILS. In my opinion, it would be enough to set up a fictitious ILS on the CheckerBoard.
However, I understand if IPACS does not want to make this effort at the moment because other points are more important.
I'm currently successfully working on at least supporting the approach with an optical light guide like the one in reality.

With a small WorkAround, you can add your own parking position and helipad position to every existing airport in FS4.
Important:
The following explanation is provided without guarantee and without liability.
The procedure has been tested on a Mac and does not result in ERROR or WARNING messages in the tm.log.Example of EGLL LONDON HEATHROW:
(1) Create a TAP file containing this data:
- [icao] = free ICAO airfield code not yet used
- [model_center] = position of the file, may be identical to [position] of helipad or parking
- date helipad
- data parkingCode
Display More<[file][][] <[tm_airport_pd][][] <[stringt8c][icao][egll01]> <[vector2_float64][model_center][-0.454585 51.459119]> <[list_tm_airport_pd_helipad][helipads][] <[tm_airport_pd_helipad][element][0] <[vector2_float64][position][-0.454585 51.459119]> <[float64][direction][-90]> <[float64][radius][10]> <[string8][name][Helipad0]> > > <[list_tm_airport_pd_parking_position][parking_positions][] <[tm_airport_pd_parking_position][element][0] <[vector2_float64][position][-0.454646 51.458434]> <[float64][direction][-90]> <[float64][radius][40]> <[string8][name][Parking0]> <[float64][type][parked_jet]> > > > >
(2) Convert TAP file to TMB, TOC, TSC and WAD files using the converter linked in this post.
(3) If the airport folder created in this way is not yet in your own user directory, then move it there.
(4) If necessary, name the airport folder appropriately (see example).
The attached TAP file from the example contains several lines of explanations; these can remain or be removed (everything in one line after the ">" sign).

The file, which can be downloaded under ...
..., now also hides the disturbing masts for the VHHH runways.

I have the Apple M1 Max chip and Sonoma 14.2.1 on my MacBookPro (16" 2021):
- FS2 app not working
- FS2 Steam works
- FS4 Steam works
-
But the post concerned the mobile version.
For FS4 I can hide the obstacle -- I'll do that later.
-
Oh, that gives me this idea:😄
We need more agricultural aircraft, especially with cutter bars. Maybe Krysztof has something to offer for that too.🤔🫢🤭🫣

In the PC version (= FS 4) I brake the wheel brakes of the UH-60 with the two additional pedals on the pedals.
On the iPad I do this with the corresponding buttons on the controller. -
...
And I'm also missing the approach lighting RW13 in the curve, so maybe I can use some navigation signals there. The first test shows: This should work.😆
-
...Is there anyway to add SID's / STAR's etc so we can navigate to/from Kai Tak or is this imbedded in the AFS4 core navigation files?
At this point I'm still not sure how to solve this.
- I can imagine that Jet-Pack (IPACS) can help here?
- Maybe a mission would also be helpful?
- And I want to see whether a fictitious runway as an extension of the checkerboard is helpful as an approach aid.And I'm also missing the approach lighting RW13 in the curve, so maybe I can use some navigation signals there.

The animations in Hong Kong are now better adjusted:
- Carousel:
- The carousel rotates at 6 rpm - no one gets sick. - Sailboats:
- The four sailboats sail at ~8 or ~10 kt -- depending on the local wind. - Hong Kong Ferries:
- The well-known ferries now run at ~10 kt - enough time to relax.. - Container Ship:
- The container ship is also only allowed to travel at 10 kt when traveling in the area. - Cars:
- In the city the speed is now ~55 km/h (kph) / ~35 mph.
- The speed on the highway is now 93 km/h (kph) / ~58 mph.
The animated air traffic is also adapted:
- The flight speed is now only 150 kt, the minimum for the five aircrafts.
- This roughly results in these time windows for takeoffs and landings:
- 00:00 - 00:30
- 00:30 - 00:50 landing Concorde
- 00:50 - 01:30
- 01:30 - 01:50 landing aircraft
- 01:50 - 03:30
- 03:30 - 03:50 landing aircraft
- 03:50 - 09:10
- 09:10 - 09:30 landing B747
- 09:30 - 10:30
- 10:30 - 10:50 landing aircraft
I'm attaching the two corrected files for those of us who are more experienced to test.
If it fits, I will adjust the overall packages tomorrow.
