I would love a Dehavilland Beaver or Otter.
I have purchased all three of the above, btw.

We desperately need a helicopter that can fly in the Everest area.
Similarly - how does the C152 perform at those altitudes?
What are people's favorite craft in that setting? I would love to have a Beaver or Otter in this sim for those types of environs.

This is great. However, I thought someone told me that the default Aerofly uses USGS imagery. I tried a test area in Yosemite, and it does not match at all. Maybe the images have been updated since the devs added their textures to the sim? The newly-converted USGS image is on the bottom/right, and default is on the top and left.

Any impressions? Is there enough substance over the default C172 to make it worth $42?
-
Are we able to augment the default scenery, such as the US SW, seamlessly now with one of these sources?
-
It just means that everything is off - engine, radios, lights etc... and that you have to go through the steps to start the plane yourself.
-
What are these three pull levers in the B58 under the ignition?
-
Exactly, what systems do you mean?
If I recall, that plane can't even be brought to a cold and dark state. And so many of the buttons are inoperable.

I think you would get more out of the Yak 55M.

We have fun aerobatic planes in the sim. The Extra is fun to fly but I wish some of the systems were modelled more fully.

Wow, cool, thanks for this! This saved me a lot of time! Very nice that you added '//changed from' to everything! That made it very easy to apply all changes I wanted manually to the IV version (which I fly) and it works like a charm!
I see you skipped/missed three options which you (or anyone else) might want to add:
--code
Great, thanks! This was my first time. I'll add those to mine as well.

Same behavior here. I am logged in. And I see this in Latest Entries:

Try this link to download............. https://flight-sim.org/filebas…y-download/498-apollo-50/
Yes - the direct links work for me. However, do you see this in the Recent Files or if you search for Apollo? I don't. I'm just wondering if there's something wrong with the site and it's not indexing new submissions.
-
I see this item when I use your direct link, however I don't see any files on the Newly Added section of the website that are from this week. Is this an issue with this add-on, or with the filebase website?

Just made my first flight, and it's a really nice plane. I very much like the working GPS, something which is still badly missing from the default C172.
As some others, I would acknowledge a cold&dark startup mode, if this is possible.
Kind regards, Michael
I've got a pretty good one so far for the iii - try this .tmd file.
I put a comment "// changed from" then the values just above each line for each setting I changed.
kai503 Please let me know if sharing this is inappropriate and I'll delete the post.

In the tmd file, I see reference to an avionics bus switch. Is there one in the Arrow III? I can't find it. If not, how do you turn off the Garmin?
-
Can you damage the engine if you run RPMs too high or otherwise overheat the engine? Is that type of behavior modeled in any aircraft in this sim?
-
Yes, it doesn't have cold and dark yet. The reason is that I have done my best to follow the IPACS standard. Cold and dark can only be done with some tricks, which might lead to problems with future updates. However, I'm thinking to make a mod like Jan did for the C 172.
I will buy it, but I am really hoping for this option. In the meantime, is there a value or two I can change in the config file, like making initial mixture setting 0% or something like that? So that the engine is off at least?
-
I have all of mine in C:\Users\<myname>\Documents\Aerofly FS 2\addons\scenery
So just under scenery there is Fuerteventura, Gomera, etc.

If you have a copy of WinZip or similar, you can break it into multiple zip files that are re-assembled upon unzipping. That may be how they get around the file size limitations, but I'm not sure.
