Installed Gibraltar today, good scenery but....works only in OpenGL for me and another user:RE: AFS 2 Vulcan Crash
No problems with other scenery, I normally run Vulkan for better performance. Maybe the developers can have a look at it?

Same here to me, just installed Gibraltar and it crashes in Vulkan, no problems in OpenGL.
I thought it was due to my 3 GB VRAM videocard but now I believe it has something to do with the scenery design?
Tomorrow, tomorrow.....Well, maybe later.
We have close to Hawaiian temperatures these days in Holland so it would be a good time to simulate Hawaii in VR.
We have tested an ingenious user friendly method of controlling how much or how many animations we can stuff into the box before everything grinds to a halt. The user can select None or All with 25% and 50% choices. This is all accomplished with one click prior to starting the sim.
That's a great option....Thanks!
And then we have to wait to see how good the flight modelling is on helicopters....I prefer a realistic flight model above graphics or anything else and Aerofly's R22 is the best we have now on the consumer market.
MSFS is not out, It won't have VR support or helicopters when it comes out. And it probably needs more then a budget game computer to run in VR at all when it supports VR somewhere in the future.....
Don't fly flatscreen anymore, I have four simulators on my PC and everyone has it's merits, will have a look at MSFS when VR is supported....
Thanks, I was looking for it a few weeks ago, seems to be a good scenery.
More helicopters is always a good thing..
For now we have Larry's Lynx for Coast Guard duties:
The videocard is a GTX1060 with 3 GB VRAM....other specs in my signature below. I also sim a lot on a friends rig with a 1080 TI and a HP Reverb, no problems there with True Earth Netherlands or Xp 11/DCS....But I stil prefer the R22 for its flight dynamics and Aerofly runs smooth on my PC with most scenery.
Just found out about that traffic light extension, will give it a try of course, thanks!
No Apollo for me, 20-25 frames even in low setting just like True Earth Netherlands, need to upgrade to more VRAM...
But there are enough other places to hop around for now...
Posted video to Facebooks Helicopter Flight Simulation group too, I'm trying for a while now to get more of the heli nuts over there into this simulator too...
Out of the four sims I use to fly helicopters this R22 is the best though I like the XP11 and DCS Huey's a lot too. But it's 90% of the time Aerofly R22 the last year, probably the most realistic heli simulation on the consumer market.
I did try that Apollo scenery a long time ago but I had far too low frame rates like I have with Amsterdam and Paris due to my restricted 3GB of VRAM.
Will give it a try again later this day and check it out with FpsVR running...
Thanks, I will open the door next time after landing..
Community Log Star Date 2020 - Part 2 might be around the corner, part 1 was posted almost five weeks ago in the blog section of this forum.
I don't mind waiting for an update somewhere this summer but I am getting curious for the first hints on what we can expect in the coming update....
Mouse click on unwanted button assignment then backspace on keyboard....Have fun!
Please do where ever the mood brings you, I will be very happy with a third heli for our sim and will take whatever we get first!!!
Good to hear you are some what back on track with the beast!
Sounds good...End of the month would be great.
But I have no problems waiting for something good.
Just a bit worried with only 3GB of VRAM, might need to upgrade soon....
Isn't that a jostick for mobile games? Probably an FS 2020 question. Wrong forum....
