I am still very happy with Aerofly FS 2, so I don't mind waiting a few months for a good working new version release...

Add-ons need to be in your 'username'>Documents>Aerofly FS2>addons folder.

We pay for a simulator or game as it is! Any free update you get later on is a good thing, not something to demand from a developer...
Sometimes you get things for free like the helicopters for Aerofly FS 2 that came as a free update, sometimes you get a new version (Aerofly FS 4) and we have to pay for it...
If we see it that way, we can be patient and happy with what we have. -
I have no issues running Aerofly FS 2 in VR with my Quest 2.
Normally I connect with Virtual Desktop and run in SteamVR.I just tested with AirLink (and cable) and it runs fine in Steam VR and Oculus VR over here....
When AirLink is running (or cable is connected) I open my Steam library on my monitor, start Aerofly, choose Steam VR or Oculus VR and wait for the Aerofly menu to open on my monitor. After starting a session I put on the Quest 2 again and everything works fine....

Installed SteamVR? Aerofly performs best with SteamVR for me...

Aerofly performs best with SteamVR, as far as I know there are still performance issues with Quest 2 headsets using "Oculus VR" even if you get it working....
Everything works fine here with Quest 2/ Virtual Desktop/Oculus Airlink or cable and the Steam version of Aerofly using SteamVR.
Try installing Steam and add the DVD version of Aerofly as a non Steam game to your Steam Llibrary...(left bottom Steam window)
If that doesn't work you can ask IPACS for a Steam key and install the Steam version of Aerofly (which is preferable because of automatic updates)
For a quick flight I prefer Aerofly over the other 'big three' because of the superfast loading times and the R22 might have the most realistic flight dynamiics of all virtual heli's in any sim....
Hope this will help, have a good XMas! -
Software always needs a fresh install on a new PC, after that you can move the add on scenery and aircraft you might have....

I expect development for FS2 will stop and most of the time we pay the full price for a new version release.
But I'm happy to pay 60-80 euro for FS4, hope it will be out before XMas... -
If I read this well it's confirmation of Aerofly FS3 coming soon (end of this year?)
Don't mind of paying for new features at all, very curious to see the product you have been working at for the last couple of years! -
Tom, you can get an updated XREF library right here. This library will be even bigger with our upcoming major new version which we intend to announce in the upcoming weeks. Alongside the library, the cultivation buildings support a bigger variety of shapes.
Aerofly FS3 ???

VR is a 3D view and more immersive as a monitor setup for sure...
Oculus Quest 2 is cheap and good quality, HP Reverb a liitle better and more money..... -
Short flight around Quatam River with the R22...
Beautiful scenery with great animations, loved that Skycrane passing by.
Thanks a lot!!! -
Wow... Looking forward to this!

Great! I did not have the time to check it out, only read the article...

Thanks again!!!
Winrar can't extract the two parts...Downloaded 7-Zip and extraction works fine as stated in the PDF.

Maybe the new SteamVR features can be useful?

I thought so...Here's hoping that it's 'easier' then a seven bladed rotor. But it's still an unconventional setup with two rotors.....
Good to see you are 'back in the saddle', we do like a Christmas present. -
A Chinook would be more then welcome...

That explains the silence, hope you will feel better soon!

Thanks again for the Apache and the Lynx!
Are you working on another heli Steve?
