Hi,
Is there any tutorial on how to create custom scenery for Aerofly FS 4? I've found the sdk but no example on how to use it. Aeroscenery is not working for me (it seems to be for Aerofly FS 2?).
IPACS and/or a small group of dedicated users (I would join) look up daily in the FS AirportCreationTool which airfields have been newly created or added.
This could be easily automated. If Ipacs would offer an API the community could do many more things, like for example AeroScenery could also download Airports and so on.
Were you able to figure out the problem?
Another airport where I have this Problem is princess juliana international airport (TNCM).
Here it would help if you could provide us with a list of ICAO codes of airports created with our new web tool so we can take a look at it
For me this would be TFFJ and TNCS. Thank you
Display MoreTo enter the height, I follow these steps:
- export tap file
- in the exported tap file enter the height by hand and save it
- delete the airfield in the tool
- import tap file again
This is also how I enter positions or orientations when I transfer them from FS2.tsc files. I also do it this way when creating military airfields with pixelated airfields - with success.
That didn't really solve the Issue. See the attached Pictures below:
Hi,
I tried to create the Saint Barthélemy Airport in Aerofly FS 4 using the new Airport creation tool.
However, I have two Problems:
1. The auto elevation is kind of wrong. Is there a way I can adjust the height myself?
2. How can I add the automatic Scenery Cultivation? Currently there aren't any buildings, trees, etc.
Any Help would be greatly appreciated.
Kind Regards
If make a mistake drawing a line I haven't figured out how to delete just one point, I have to exit the program and add the line again.
You can right click on one point to remove it.
When I try to save my airport, always a few things are not saved properly. Currently those are parts of the taxi lines, but it also happened with runways, tarmac, objects, etc.
Display MoreHi,
Difficult to figure out with so less information. At first view, I notice that you are talking about an AIC file. But the newer geoconvert versions need an AID file or you have to use the *.tfw-file as a base (*.aid will be generated by geoconvert) . Maybe this is the cause.
Syntax of the corresponding AID-File: b_16_stich_1_1.aid
<[file][][]
<[tm_aerial_image_definition][][]
<[string8][image][b_16_stitch_1_1.png]>

In principle, it is much easier to use Aeroscenery to create your own photo scenery:
PostAeroScenery Releases - Easily Create Photoreal Scenery
I'm opening a new thread for AeroScenery releases as the last one has started to get unwieldy.
After some beta testing by the good people on here I'm pleased to announce that AeroScenery 1.0.1 is now available.
Download here : https://github.com/nickhod/aerosc…AeroScenery.msi
New Features In 1.0.1
On-the-fly Image Processing
You can now have AeroScenery adjust the sharpness, brightness, contrast etc of the image tiles that you're about to convert
Sequential GeoConvert Execution
AeroScenery now…

Geoportal (Switzerland) does not work as a source anymore, I will fix it with the upload of my next MOD (works allready for me).
This was indeed the Problem. Thank you for your help
Aeroscenery doesn't really work for me. Every time I try to run it, my PC crashes. And when it runs successfully for once, the images have a weird red overlay. So, I decided to make my own script that downloads the files and creates the AID files for me. I also noticed that the images on Geoportal are kind of old (sometimes from 2011). That's also a reason why I want to use the swisstopo images, since they are not older than 3 years.
Hi,
I'm trying to add my own satellite images to aerofly.
I downloaded all the TIF files from swisstopo and made for each TIF file an AIC file, as described in the documentation.
But when I run geoconvert I always get the following Error: no input aerial images found in './input_aerial_images/'
However, I have placed all the files in the correct folder.
Can someone help me?
Thanks, and regards.
I want to develop my own aircraft for Aerofly. I have installed the SDK and Blender. I was able to export a simple cube to Aerofly but It just shows a red STOP sign. I assume the textures are missing. How can I create those textures in Blender? And is there some step-by-step guide on how to develop an Aircraft like there is for other sims? Thanks in advance. Best Regards any merry Christmas to everyone...
I switched to C++ because compile size and memory footprint of the application are way smaller.
I discovered a framework called tauri, which should be faster than electron. But it's very unfortunate that we can't update the weather while Aerofly is running. Jet-Pack (IPACS) are there any plans to change this? Thank you.
Oh, and you are still free to extend the Wettergerät to your liking. Maybe there is a way to at least implement it into the main menu?
I‘m not really familiar with C#/C++. I tried to make a similar application with Javascript, I was able to get to a point where I can fetch real life weather data from an API, but I‘m not able to change the weather parameters while Aerofly is running. And the DLL part of the SDK doesn’t have a proper documentation. It would be nice if there was a better documentation of the SDK…
Not possible with the current SDK unfortunately. I had hoped FS4 would be more open and extensible. The mcf file is locked when Aerofly is running, so you need to close it before editing some value.
Okay Thanks.
Hi,
How can I change parameters (for example the cloud density) through the SDK?
I've found a cloud density option in the main.mcf file but when I open the file in a Text Editor and change the value, nothing happens.
Thank you.
Where can I download the Tool to use the external_dll folder?
Just one? And would that be left or right side?
Keep in mind that there are already several passenger view cameras...
If it’s possible one from inside of the plane on the left and right side above the wing.
What camera views would you like to see added to our airliners for example?
A passenger view camera
