It might work on some iPad pro's but then we'd have to specify which devices will get it and which ones wont, then there will be arguments in the forums like "why not my device, I paid a thousand dollars for it" etc.

I reinstalled it too. I clicked the Restore purchases button. The download was at 0 and not moving. I then exited the simulator, restarted it and then it downloaded the planes smoothly. I hope I could help.
