**MAC USERS FIX** I found on my iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017), that if I change the resolution to 2880 X 1620 the stuttering and screen freezes go away. The way to change resolution on this machine is to open system preferences/display/resolution/scaled/2880 X 1620

Thanks to Jan for the suggestion.

When this sim runs smoothly, it is the best SIM I have witnessed.

I am beyond frustrated with graphics stutters and screen freezes. This is my current graphics info:

I am considering an external GPU. Can any MAC users offer suggestions for what I might get? The only other option I can see is a new $$$$ gaming computer that I really don't want. Thanks in advance for your guidance.

Andy, if you install the east frisian scenery with the given mac path does it work for you?

The path is taken from the wiki.

    Installation on MAC:

Unzip, than copy /places and /images to: /Users/.../Library/Containers/com.aerofly.aerofly-fs-2-

    mac/Data/Library/Application Support/Aerofly FS 2/addons/Scenery/east_frisian_islands

I have it installed and it works without issues. Most of the problems I am having are in Chicago, Miami, and Orlando. Thanks!

Installing user content is as varied as the people who create it. Some offer instructions which make sense on one system (Windows/IOS/MAC) but not another and some offer NO instructions at all. I have found installs very difficult on my MAC but when I do manage to get them to work, they are beautiful creations. There is a LOT of content out there but the install is a crap shoot. It would be nice to have "standardized" instructions or perhaps a thread that addresses install instructions.

Hey Andy, I would recommend disabling any addons and see if the issue persists.

I'm assuming Chicago O'Hare is an addon from FScloudport? Can't remember if Airport is default IPACs or part of Orbx Meigs addon?

If issue still persists, delete the .TM log before restarting sim, then try to replicate the same scenery that causes issue. If sim crashes, it should be

picked up by TM log to which should explain whats happening

Meigs Field works beautifully! I added MDW and ORD from world airports and they work fine.

    SOLVED!

This was a user-created problem. There were duplicate addon files in the PLACES folder and also in IMAGES. (A lot of duplicates). When adding files, it is imperative to get the file naming right. As for individual text instructions...good luck. MAC is a different animal. My iMac runs this SIM remarkably well IMHO. What I have to do is curb my enthusiasm just a little and be more meticulous with addons/freeware etc.

I do need to point out that iMac .tm files are not located here:

Help, please. I am getting a map freeze (the map freezes, sound continues). The only solution has been to force quit and restart the app.

This freeze happens when taking off from Chicago ORD

    AutoPilot above 5000 feet

Good morning! I'm new around these parts but what I have seen, so far, is nothing short of amazing! When dealing with freeware, addons downloads etc I have ONE request. PLEASE include specific instructions for MAC installation. I understand that people are creating a lot of stuff and making it available but the instructions included are usually generic for a windows operating system. As this is one of the few sims that will run on a MAC, it really should be imperative that instructions for MAC OS be included.

Thank you all for the hard work. It is duly noted!

What were the key elements that got it working, maybe you could share them with us so others can learn from this.

Respectfully, I am going to digress. He literally walked me through it and I don't consider myself tech enough to offer those key elements. That being said, the issue is locating and placing files within the MAC app. Again...my sincere THANKS and kudos to all who have made the simulation what it is.

You are most kind. THANK YOU for these beautiful pieces of work.
