Screwed up the descent and had to shutttle down to lose speed and altitude and ...also speed.

With the G2 there is a known issue where displays may flicker or go black when playing certain titles at high volume levels. There is a firmware fix out, but I still occasionally get black screens when volume is too high usually combined with deep bass from the game. After a period of time the screens come back on.
- Resolves a potential issue where displays may flicker or go black when playing certain titles at high volume levels.The solution for me has always been to lower the volume. I would suggest the op do the HP Reverb G2 firmware fix, and/or try lowering volume and see if it makes a difference.
