Hi, i had the same while in Frankfurt Airport. No green lights on the taxi way.
I think they are not yet visible in the latest Beta version.
They were visible again when i opt out from Beta.

Hello Everyone,
i wanted to inquire if there is any way to adjust the city lights spawning at a greater distance during night in Aerofly FS4?
I noticed that the city lights only spawn perfectly when i start a new flight from any airport. Looks great so far and even at the far horizon the lights can be seen but flying past these areas, the new city lights become visible only at around 8 or 10 nautical miles. So while flying at around 34,000ft everything in the distance is in darkness and only the cities or towns just bellow the plane has lights visible.
This is not the case in Aerofly FS2 for example with the ORBX Netherlands addon or the Lights across China scenery addon.
In FS2 lights always seem to load at great distances.
Can this be adjusted in any settings? or does it indeed cause any performance issues?
I could not find another thread before posting this one here.
Thank you, yes i also tested it yesterday.
This thread is resolved.
Hello Everyone,
i checked first before i post but could not find a open thread.
I noticed that the AI Aircraft have Contrails visible all the time even during take-off and landings.
Also at night, the contrails are white and dont seem to be darkened like the clouds.
The first time i noticed it, i thought it was some weird slow moving white lazer or UFO.
Can i turn this OFF in any settings?
Each aircraft has it's own tmd file, which is just a text document. Inside that text document you can also find the light cone for the strobe light which has a brightness parameter. Make sure that if you edit a file inside the Steam directory that you make a backup before the change and after the change.
Hello Jet-Pack (IPACS)
i confirm that the thread is solved.
Thank you.
Display MoreHello,
First off, I enjoy FS4 immensely - well done! The smoothness in VR is such a pleasure.
I found the landing lights a big improvement over FS2, and they cast down the runway much further than some 'other' sims. I noticed today that something has gone wrong when viewed in VR. I presume this is the result of one of the recent small updates. (??) Specifically, the illumination of the runway surface only appears in the lower fifth of the view. It works normally in desktop view. I tried Open GL, and back to Vulkan. I have attached a screenshot below to depict the in-game image.
I did read of another user citing the R22 landing light creating a triangle of light on the ground, as I recall. I checked the R22 and it was not a triangle, but rather the same lower 5th of the view showed the light, but it was absent above that jagged line.
Varjo Aero / I9-11900K / RTX 3080ti / Windows 10 / SteamVR
If there are any suggestions, please let me know. If not, hopefully this can be duplicated by IPACS and rectified in the future.
All the best,
GUMPS

Yes Gumps, same happening. its also reported in the other thread:

Hello IPACS Admin,
This is what i can see through the Oculus Rift VR headset after the patch update.
The ground lighting is only visible on the buttom when looking through VR glasses.
Affected lights are the following:
- all ground lightings from airport light poles
- all aircraft models navigation lights
- all aircraft models strobe lights
- all aircraft models beacon lights
- all aircraft taxi & takeoff lights
Not affected are:
- runway lights
- street lights

I’m also using Vulcan with low AA settings. FS4 settings all medium except shadows and trees both Low and building high. I may try OpenGL but previously that performed worse.
Also tried my Vive Pro1 and also got poor results. FS4 has always been more resource hungry than FS2 but after today’s beta update FS4 is now much worse. Low flying helicopters in cities really shows this problem.
Sorry i see it on your signature

Can you provide some Infos of all your hardware? Graphics card, CPU and RAM(16 GB)?
i tested this as well in VR.
The stuttering are when im using Open GL in the graphics settings.
The stuttering may also occur in Vulkan + High quality Anti-Aliasing
On my settings i chose Vulkan without High quality Anti-Aliasing.
My tree density is low because there are still lots of trees with low settings, that is still good enough.
Building density: high
With the rest you have to experiment which is best.
What i would have on my wishlist for the next FS4 DLC is a Asia map addon because im seeing many asian aircraft liveries like A380s Korean Air, Asiana, Malaysia, Singapore especially the A320s Cathay Pacific and the many new chinese airlines.
I checked on the A320 tmd. Its not the brightness parameter but on the scaling.
I changed <[float64][Scaling][1.0]> TO <[float64][Scaling][10.0]>
Now i got the desired strobe light intensity and it look really good how it flashes and reflect on the ground.
Hello MartinM
Im using the default windows Notepad program.
Thank you Jet-Pack (IPACS)
Yes i always save the original TMD File.
Thank you for the Info i will try this out.
Hello Aerofly community,
For Aerofly FS4 i wanted to inquire if there is a config file where i can see how the strobe lights of the aircraft works.
Is there a way that i could increase the intensity of the stobe lights so that it would give a much brighter reflection on the ground?
Is that a general configuration that affects all aircrafts or can it be done individually?
Im only asking this because if you fly in an airplane in real at night, you would see that the flashing lights of the strobe are really bright just like that of a professional camera. In FS4 it looks dull.
FYI: the red beacon lights are perfect, no need to change as they are bright enough.
Thank you
