FYI- it’s all up and running now.

I’ve spent hours/days researching but I’m getting contradictions in Aerofly 9 operation specs. In the instruction manual it tells me one thing…….

But the Forum tells me another thing……

So which is it?

The instruction specs would require a Mac Pro 5,1 (2010-2012) with a high volume graphics card. But you’re lucky to fine one that is OS 10.12 or higher. The App Store app say the minimum requirements of OS 10.13. Which, my old computers (iMac 27” & Mac Book Pro 13”) have. But, the app will not open and I can not install Graphic cards in these computers.

The Forum specs says “All iMacs, MacBooks and Mac Mini’s that support the Apple Metal graphics Interface. This applies to nearly all Mac computers manufactured since 2015.”

I went to the Apple Store yesterday and they said nothing past 2020 has the graphics anymore. You have to buy a $5000 tower to get graphics now days.

So, what should I buy to run this new app?

Is there anyone out there successfully using a Mac Book 13”????? If so, what YEAR and SPECs?

I don’t mean to complain but this is really frustrating.

What am I do wrong????

I’ve installed the dongle with the proper receiver. I’ve bound it with the transmitter (DX6e). Followed the instructions to open the app, BUT it will not open. I just get a “Quit Unexpectedly” window over and over.

Any suggestions?

I’ve downloaded the RC 9 app from the App Store for Mac’s 3 weeks ago. When am I suppose to get my Activation Key Code??? And, where does it come from? Ikarus or Apple?

As a New-bee 🐝 It was good info to know. 👍 although I did have the same problem setting up a new RC airplane. Learning the Radio is essential.

So, I can assume this adaptor in the link above replaces the dongle with receiver attached?

It would have been nice if they (Ikarus) would have put that on their sales page.

It will not open without the dongle plugged in. Is that normal? I don’t have the receiver yet so that’s why I haven’t used the dongle. Spektrum doesn’t make the required receiver (AR7700-X) anymore so I had to search the net far and wide to find one. Got scammed once trying to get it. But it’s on its way Monday the 17th.

Hi all, Newbee here. I’ve downloaded the AeroflyRC 9 app to my iMac and MacBook Pro with OS 10.15.7 but I can not seem to get it to open. A dark screen flashes by and then a pop-up comes up stating “Problem Report for Aerofliy RC 9” with a bunch of coding and a comment box. In which, I have left a couple comments w/o a reply yet. I’ve tried the reopening button many times with the same results. The requirements are for OS 10.13.0 or higher. Any idea what the problem might be?????

Also, I want to go wireless using a DX6e. I’ve purchased a USB-interfaceset 3031020 (dongle), which uses a Spektrum AR770-X receiver BUT the AR7700-x is obsolete and I can’t find it anywhere. So, is there a substitute PPM receiver that I can use???

So far, I haven’t found any instructions on how to setup the system. I assume I need a WiFi/Bluetooth running but do I need the internet running? Does the radio need to be on durning start up? And a bunch of other questions.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
