Ok that might be the issue, I did not create all levels

    Map 9 - Levels 9,11,12,13

    Map 14 - Level 15

It just seems more noticeable that It did before which is why I was asking if anything had fundamentally changed in the programme?

Thanks again for your help. It is very much appreciated. :)

Jet-Pack I am having more issues with user scenery I am afraid. As an example I had created full hi-res scenery of Ibiza and Formentera which is available to download free for everyone on Flight sim.org. This is used regularly by myself but now there is an issue, let me explain. When I load this location my entire field of view would appear in the hi-res imagery I had created, basically for as far as I could see. Of course as I got closer to a certain point the resolution would increase to the maximum I had created. Now what is happening is everything beyond about 300m is ultra low res mush with zero features. Only when I get within roughly 300m does the image improve but then it returns to featureless mush as I move away. This has never happened before with any user created content I possess. Has something changed in the way FS4 deals with user content?

Thanks for the fast response Jet-Pack. I seem to have resolved the issue. Recently I uninstalled all the scenery DLC to save on hard-drive space. It looks as though the issue may have been related to that. Perhaps there is a conflict with the global scenery and user created scenery in certain situations (specifically mountain tops/ridges)? I did not get a chance to screenshot as I am in VR but if you can imagine the top of a mountain where the peak is very geometric straight lines and pyramid like but the sides of the mountain correctly showed my hi-res scenery. Now, after re-installing the scenery DLC the mountain is normal with a rounded natural peak as it should be.

Now Everything looks as amazing as it did before. ;)

Hello. I had created several very high resolution maps of the north west highlands of Scotland. They were extremely high resolution down to grid square 14, AFS level 15,, and zoom level 19. They were all working perfectly for months until recently. It is quite difficult to describe the issue, but I will try. The very tops of the mountains now display as jagged straight edges almost like the polygons are now not being rendered correctly. They used to conform exactly to the correct profile of the terrain. The weird thing is though that the high details are still visible ie you can pick out mountain paths and small rocks it is purely the top and ridges of the mountains that are not being displayed accurately as they were before. It is only noticeable when you fly really close to the tops and ridges. From a distance they seem to blend and look normal, ie rounded and natural. Does anyone have an idea what has changed to cause this? It is very frustrating as I put a lot of effort into this and it was very high quality up until recently

Thanks Michael for your help unfortunately I don't have a backup to try this with. I use Steam and when you backup via Steam the files seem to be converted into some proprietary format which prevents copying. I will try another install onto a different drive and copy from that. It is a very strange problem that it only affects that aircraft.

Looking for some advice from the devs please. I have the full version of AFS-4 and it is unbelievably solid but it has just developed a very strange problem recently. When I select the UH-60M from the aircraft options it takes around 60 seconds to load. When it eventually does load everything looks as it should except there is no way of interacting with the controls. You cannot grab the cyclic, collective, or touch any switches. I normally fly in VR but this also applies when in flat screen using the mouse. There appears to be some corruption in my folder for this particular aircraft. It should be noted all other aircraft work perfectly. It used to work perfectly also. I have deleted AFS-4 and done a clean install but this has not solved the issue. Anyone have a solution?

Thank Michael. I have set mines up exactly like your now except mines is D drive instead of E. Still no luck unfortunately. It will not load the custom scenery only the default FS4. Do I have to disable the stock FS4 scenery somehow? Is there some hidden option in the FS4 UI to select custom scenery?

    Steve.

Hi Michael. Yes it is the default landscape that is showing. I have copied all user scenery for the Balearics to my D: drive and created the folder structure as advised in the wiki page eg D:/Aerofly FS 4 Simulator addons/scenery/Balearics/images.

All the image files are in there. I have also altered the Main.mcf file to read :

    <[string8][extra_user_folder][D:\Aerofly FS 4 Flight Simulator Addons\scenery]>

What I do not understand is how to select the user added scenery while in the game. Every time I open it the default scenery is showing. I seem to be going round in circles and it is becoming very frustrating. Is there any advise you can give me as this is all new to me?

    Thanks

    Steve

Than you for your swift response. I have searched that page already and cannot find where it tells you how FS4 will load the user files instead. Do you select the from within the locations page in Fs4 or somewhere else. It must be something simple I am missing. I have double checked my user scenery file locations and they are in the correct place. I do not understand why Fs4 is not seeing them. Do I need to disable the default 'eu folder somehow?

    Steve..

Hi there I am new to this method of copying FS2 scenery files over to FS4 and I am getting nowhere unfortunately. I have copied all the scenery files to the 'documents/Aerofly fs4/addons/scenery/balearics/' folder. I have just spent the last 5 hours trying to find out how to get them to work in FS4. When I load the game it is the default scenery I see not the user created ones. Can you please advise me how to get them to load in the game. I have the Fs4 deluxe package with US and Europe plus the extra planes.

Your help would be very much appreciated as I am getting nowhere.

    Steve...
