I don't know about anybody else but I use the Starfield Xbox game controller for airplanes and the Airbus joystick just for Helicopters. No issues flying and landing any of the aircraft in FS4. I don't know, works for me, no crashes, no scrubbed landings. I love using the controller, feels good in my hands too, it's comfortable.

What's going on with MSFS? You seem to be persecuted :/

No, no persecution, just don't use it anymore, fed up, had enough of em. Can't believe I fell for it. Aero fly opened my eyes to how simple and functional a SIM can be without any super bells and whistles. MSFS is akin to trying to stuff a watermelon thru a garden hose. Too much stuff going on, too many addon's, constant conflicts, software crashes, graphical issues, bad marketing, hardware indifferences even with users having the exact same PC specs or consoles. It's just an absolute mess. Many users do more tweaking and messing around with settings than actual flying. The list goes on and on, it's all in the forums the last 4 years going on 5 now. I have no time for it anymore. Aero fly is the best and will always be better than MSFS will ever be. ;)

There is no comparison between Aero fly FS4 and MSFS 2020. Please never say that "jugac64". Aero fly is for "PILOTS", MSFS is for "GAMERS". Although some pilots use MSFS and I ask myself....."Why....?", when Aero fly is 100x's better. lol My gramps always says: "can't beat German engineering". ;)

We have to welcome these new comers though (as long as they behave themselves). They've been living far too long in the dark side of the SIM market, and have seen the light over here and the veil has been lifted from their eyes. They no longer walk around with eye's wide shut.

Have any of you new users realized there's only about 9 or 10 people @ IPACS creating and maintaining this SIM...? There are no 3rd party developers. Aero fly is a quiet, peaceful, niche kind of SIM. It's not the 800lb gorilla that MSFS is. If you don't like it.....find another SIM, leave us alone, we're very grateful for what we have right now and we're happy.

Aero fly is explicitly a peaceful simulator, and it has been since its inception.

YES it is. Our peaceful forum is slowly being inundated with EX-MSFS gamers starting their demanding (for lack of a better word) "BS" over here now. The tone has changed in the conversations they start, you can plainly see it from some of the new posters. As they say "There goes the neighborhood."

What he said above....:/, I can't do VR, I get motion sickness. Figure this : I cant ride roller coasters (sick), Cant do VR (sick), cant watch someone play first person shooter or first person anything for that matter (sick), but I can fly an F-18, loop and roll on the screen and it doesn't bother me...go figure...my brain is definately wired for flying no question. I can fly in real airplanes and helicopters and I'm ok too. My brain is messed lol.

    3. Win 11

    • Game Mode OFF
    • Turn OFF Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling (never tried this before, so may be a factor)
    • Delete as many start-up tasks as possible (this did not seem to impact fluidity in MSFS 2024 so not sure if this was main factor)

I took your suggestion of turning OFF "Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling" and it made a world of difference for me. My system is an i7-10700 CPU @ 2.90GHz, 8 core, 16gig RAM DDR5, Asus RTX 3060 V2, 12gig GDDR6 VRAM, an I'm running in Open GL because Vulkan causes micro stuttering. I'm using Nvidia driver ver. 566.36, so far so good !

I'm tending to agree with Blake2023's reply above that the microstutters are there no matter what settings I use.

Ya I can live with it. It's so slight and so quick I'm willing to deal with it, especially after the pain I went thru in the last 4 years with MSFS. That's an absolute mess right now on console not to mention the recent 2024 launch debacle. I packed up my X console and it's in storage (back shed) till god knows when. I don't care about it anymore. Aero fly FS4 is so much better in all respects and it just works consistently without fail. The staunch MSFS users don't know what they're missing out on by not coming over to FS4. My gramps loves FS4 too, he gave up on MSFS long time ago too. I can't say enough good things about FS4 its just totally awesome.

I've been having the same micro stutter issues regardless of what settings I use since moving the graphics setting slider over to Vulkan. I have an Asus V2 duel RTX3060 12gig card with the latest drivers 566.14

My SIM settings are as follows:

    3840 x 2160 @ 60hrtz

Everything is at Medium settings (cant use High or Ultra), Low setting is unacceptable (of course).

The "aliasing" slider is not turned on

*Nvidia control panel is set to "let the application decide", everything is @ default, and GPU rendering is set to RTX 3060. I've played with every conceivable combination of settings and still get micro stutters over big city's (LAX, London, NY) being the worst). I'm baffled, no idea how to fix this. :/

Well Mr. Jan it worked creating another user profile. I would have never thought of that. I guess my Gramps user profile was corrupt or something. FS4 is working perfectly with no settings issues. Thank You Jan, Jugac64, and admin for you patience and assistance helping me. I can't thank you's enough. Take care all, be safe and happy flying. ;)

Reinstall didn't work, library repair didn't work either. Next I'm gonna try a Win10 reset (everything important is on thumb drive) so no lose of personal stuff in my PC. Then do another reinstall of FS4 and see if that works. I'll be back with my results tomorrow. *sigh* Grr ;)

No drop box, one drive (have em shut off) or anything preventing it from installing (Microsoft defender antivirus). You see I don't install to the C: drive because I don't have enough space so I always install (Steam, FS4) to the D: drive only. It's worked before like I was saying in my post above. I just don't get it, my gramps had the same issue and he gave up. I'm using his PC and having the same issue. At this point it's beyond me how to fix this. I just finished a fresh FS4 install over night (God Steam is so slow), my download speeds are 300+ bits per sec. Same issues, anything I set doesn't stay (graphics, personal settings, Sim settings etc.) Is it because I'm not installing on the C: drive...?

What If: I install Steam to the C: drive and FS4 to the D: drive....?

Update: I'm trying my idea to see what happens. ;)
