    I finished it.
Currenty it works on Windows with the PC version of FS4, and Sayintentions.AI only.
You can start the sim in regular mode and VR mode too.
On the first launch, you have to insert your Simbrief name and maybe locate your main.mcf file.
I tested it for longer time with the A320 family and the B737-800.

    There are some known limitations:

    • When you use METAR, it only inserts wind and clouds. The temp and baro has no available variable in the sim.
    • The FO can't access any button or lever, except the radio COM1 and COM2 standby frequencies, plus the swap button.
    • If you have a Fligh plan with higher altitude that FL280, it will set the CRZ FL to FL280, and you have to insert it by hand (clicking on the CDU/FMC will bring the correct value).
    • Fuel and payload can't be set. It pastes the right amount to the main.mcf file, but for some reason the sim will ignore it and resets to a default value.
    • Cost index must be inserted manually. There is no available variable for it in the sim.

    More on GitHub.

Will this mod and the SayIntentions AI have some form of integration with the MacOS environment?

Since I don't have any kind of Apple product, I can't test it.
I will release the Python script soon, so if someone will have the ability, can try to adapt it.
About Sayintentions, I don't have any clue.

When loading the route the sim computes the maximum possible altitude for the distance to fly and reduces the planned cruise altitude if needed.

The cruise altitude that you enter in the MCDU is not the same as the one from the route, it's a different aircraft state. It gets deleted when the descent phase is reached, where as the cruise altitude of the route remains unchanged.

When I modify the main.mcf with my app, it sets the altituide to FL350. When I open the sim with this options, I got the FL280.
Then I set the same route in the in sim editor, it works with the FL350 instantly.
But if I restart the sim, it drops the CRZ FL again. And never made a manual input in the MCDU or changed the CRZ FL after setting it.
So it is something with the reading from the main.mcf.

Computing the maximum altitude for the distance would work with 1 type of aircraft, but not with many. Tested it with all the A320 family and the 737 family. Tested it on longer routes, like the LHBP-EGLL, which is more than enough for FL350 or more.

The database doesn't use lat/lon it uses world grid units, that's Aerolfy's own coordinate system. Values range from 0 to 65536 in both directions easily tiling the entire world in square textures with a factor of 2. - So lat/lon 0,0 maps to 32768.0, 32768.0 in world grid. X maps to longitude linearly but Y has a tan() function in it. lon/lat (E/N) is in radians here.

Thank you. Works like a charm. ;)

    Hi,
I'm working on my FS4 - Sayintentions Bridge, and planned to make a Simbrief integration, at least for the FROM/TO page on the CDU (now for the A320).
I'm very close to the aactual UID conversion, but since some rounding problems and different navigation data, I can't make it work properly. Even 1 bit error, and the CDU can't give me the Departure and Arrival runways.
Currently I realised that the logic is a 24+24+16 bit data. Lon/Lat/Flag.
Is there any chance that you can give me the original source for your map? And maybe the distortion for the mercator map?

Checked with both Claude and Gemini pro versions.

    • Top 32 bits: Pure longitude code. (top_32_bit = round( (longitude + 180) / 360 × 2³² ))
    • Bottom 16 bits: Type code (airport (0500) / runway (0800) / SID (4400) / STAR (4800) / Approach (4C00) / RNAV waypoint (C000) / airways (4000)
    • Middle 16 bits: I have no idea at all. Something to do with the latitude and altitude maybe, but can be a lot of things.

    Correction:

24-24 bit for Lon/Lat, and 16 to the flags.

Like I said, the only time the fuel setting is applied is when the aircraft is first loaded or when you go to the menu and change the settings. During the simulation you would have to simulate a refueling truck to change the fuel level on board. The only other instance where fuel is changed is when you use time skip. Then the fuel is reduced to the amount needed to finish the route with reserves.

This is all still somewhat experimental and may change at any time.

We currently need is for the Simbrief loadsheet. So when the app prepares the flight, it can implement wind, fuel, route data (where we now have questions about the mid 16 bit of the UIDs), so the flight is exactly according to the flightplan.

If the Fuel and Load can be configured on the fly, like with a fueltruck and boarding, can you give the exact file, so we could set the quantities as per the loadsheet?

A new version of the Aerofly Startgerät is available for download.

    https://github.com/fboes/aerofly-startgeraet/releases/latest

The focus was on improvements to the user interface. SimBrief users have a direct link to dispatching as well as the ICAO codes for aircraft and liveries shown in the selection menu.

The flight category in regards to weather is now a select field, which allows for quickly setting up VFR / IFR flights.

I ran out of tokens trying to fix the UID issue, even though it seems that the UID actually contains the coordinates of the waypoint (as well as the auto-generated identifier for ad-hoc waypoints) - so these will need to be fixed in the next version(s), as well as improving the placement of the aircraft (which probably is unnecessary, because the Startgerät will most probably never learn how to find the right parking positions).

Checked with both Claude and Gemini pro versions.

I'm already looking forward to visiting these monuments.

What is the entrance fee for visitors? :/

Not so much. The Parliment is maybe the most expensive with 7000HUF if you come from the EU. It is about 20EUR.

As a hungarian I can say that all looks great. Nice job guys.

Maybe one thing could be added. The Ferihegy Airport has a pretty distinctive tower. Adding that would be the cherry on the cake.

    Hello,

I started worinkg on AI ATC integration for the sim. Currently testing with Sayintentions.

    Available features:

    • Reads the in sim COM1 and COM2 channels and the transponder state
    • Reads the position, heading, altitude and speed of the aircraft
    • Reads if the aircraft is airborn or not
    • The AI copilot can tune to a new frequency so it can handle the full flight

    Planned features:

    • AI copilot can interact with the cockpit to follow checklists

Soon I will upload it to GitHub.
